"Ugh. I'm so bored." I said as I layed my head on Ellington's shoulder.
"Get off of me please, Roxy-Rox."
"Why should I?"
I heard crying come from the doorway.
"Because Rani and Rydel are here. And you have to meet Rani." Ell told me.
"Oooo. Give me her." I said excitedly.
Rydel handed me the little 3 day old. She has Ellington's eyes and nose. And has Delly's mouth and face structure.
"She's beautiful. Can I have her?" I ask.
"NO! SHE'S MY PRINCESS!" Ell shouts.
As a joke, I stand up, and walk upstairs.
I hear footsteps behind me, and somebody grabs Rani out of my arms.
"Fine. You can have her." I tell Rydel.
"I hope I can. It's my baby! Anyways, we are going home. Call us if you need us baby sis." Rydel called.
I pouted, and walked to Riker's room. I was outside of it, when I had an idea to get some attention in this family. I started crying by thinking of poor Ryland getting murdered at such a young age.
I opened the door to see him lying on his bed, with headphones on, and he was peacefully sleeping.
I crawled into his bed, and cuddled up to him, making sure he could feel my tears on his bare skin.
Right when I was comfortable, he woke up and noticed me crying.
He didn't say anything, but just pulled me into a warm hug.
"Don't cry. I have enough of that in my life." He said.
I cried harder rememberimg that Ryland died 3 years ago today.
After 30 minutes of sitting on my older brothers lap, crying. I don't care if I'm 34, and he's 37. Sometimes all you need is a warm hug from a older sibling.
"Now can you tell me what's wrong?" Riker asks me.
"Nobody listens to me anymore. I mean, my kids do. But not my siblings. And it was 3 years ago." I say.
"We love you. You know that. And. I know. That's why I'm in my room. I couldn't protect my brother, and that hurts me." He told me.
I laid down next to Riker on the bed, took his headphone, and slowly fell asleep.
