Thinkin'

I'm thinking about changing my name. Just because I have to run. Run away from everything and everyone I love. and it sucks, I know that now. I've been running ever since my twin brother started robbing banks in the state. At first I lived with my parents but after a while, everyone knew my brothers face and also mine. Because me and my brother areidentical twins. We look completely the same.

Ilive in Tacoma, Washington. Or actually lived. Because I had to run,remember... I came up with this idea, to run, at first my parents didn't approve it. But after I got arrested a few times for things Ididn't do, my parents finally agreed. Together we made a travel plan, and every now and then I would return home to check in on them.

The moment we said goodbye was hard, but when I finally arrived in the first city, I started to enjoy the whole running thing. It doesn't seem much but for someone who's never traveled before it does. I went to Seattle. The first thing I did when I arrived was finding a place to stay. I found a motel, it was okay to stay in for a few days. After a day or two I found a job. I had to take all of the orders andserve the food. Yes, I worked at a burger restaurant. I worked allday, so every meal I got was a burger. Very unhealthy you'd think, but after a while I started losing weight.

One day, when I started my night shift, a girl came in. She ordered a double grand cheeseburger with fries and a coke. For me it was loveat first sight. I had never seen a girl order that and eat it evenfaster. I asked her name, Abby, she said. Abby and I dated for over two months I guess. But I found out that she was cheating on me. Sowe broke up. This was just the beginning. Three months ago.

Itdidn't bother me so much because I had to move. Every year I have tomove four times. It started to look like my brother was hunting medown. 'Cos he started robbing in Tacoma, so I moved to Seattle. After Tacoma, he started robbing in Seattle. I don't know how he figures out where I'm going, but he knows it somehow. Today I was thinking about visiting my parents again. I've seen them only once now and that was when we said goodbye. So that means I'm running for three months now.

It is a three to four hour drive from Goldendale. I recently found an apartment there, so I'm pretty excited to show them some photo's. I also found a new job. Not a burger restaurant this time. I start working as a personal trainer at the gym, next Monday. Because I had a lot of frustration and anger, I started working out. First once aweek, and now 6 days a week, almost every night, two hours of working out.I'm pretty satisfied with my results. I hope I can improve it somemore at my new job. What's better than having the opportunity to workout every day, or at least help people to get the results they want. Anyway, I just arrived at my parents' house.

My parents were thrilled to see me again. I didn't tell them I would come over. My mother gave me lots of kisses. And my dad, he just gave me a hand... But I can tell he's happy to see me and he is glad to see that I'm okay. When we sat down for lunch, dad told me he followed the news for a few months in a row. And wrote down every single newstopic that had something to do with brother. "I would like tosee the most recent one." My dad got up and grabbed some papers from the kitchen table. "There you go." I began to read "A series of robberies have been going on in the state of Washington. We have a suspect. But we weren't able to bring him inyet. His parents haven't seen him for months, and his brother moved away. There's still too little evidence to keep our suspect behind bars. Because the robber/ robbers are wearing masks and they also managed to shut the surveillance down. One of our suspects name isTimothy P. Wassberg. He is our biggest lead. We don't have any recent photos of him."

"Isn'tit weird? They say they haven't got any recent photos of him. Only the one when he was six years old." I looked at my dad. "Are you serious?! Don't they know I look exactly like him?""Apparently they don't. If they had, you wouldn't be running around. You would be at the police station.'' ''Why don't you two go to the police and tell them you know for sure Tim is responsible? They don't have to know I came to visit. And Tim doesn't have to know you and dad are responsible for him going to jail. 'Cos he is... He has done all of this by himself, all you did was being honest.'' I saw my mom thinking. ''You're right. I think we should do it. It's the least we can do for you Derek.'' My mom looked at me, and then at my dad. ''What do you think Albert?'' My dad gasps for air. ''Well, I think you're right July. I think everyone is right..''

We talked for another half an hour when my mom brought up lunch. I absolutely love it when mom makes any kind of food. I missed that alot when I was in Seattle. ''I hope you like it, I hadn't really the chance to make something special since I didn't know you were coming.'' I smiled. ''Every kind of food you make is just delicious, so don't worry mom.'' My mom smiled back. ''I wish there was some more coffee.'' My dad said. ''Why don't you get your ass of that chair and make some yourself.'' My dad started to laugh. I missed this as well. Their relationship is really amazing, they can joke around and be silly together without fighting or one misunderstanding. I hope I can find that too someday.
