Chapter 1:Chase

Akuma POV

I jumped from building to building,avoiding people and their line of sight. My blue hair ruffled in the wind,and my wings ached to be freed. "Just a bit longer" I murmured before jumping to the next building. Skidding to a halt I grabbed my cloak that was tied around my waste and put on the black,hooded cloth. It reached my knees and hid my bat wings from human eyes.

My eyes glowed and I jumped down into a house,an abandon house Taft was pitch black. I quickly flew through the second floor window and landed near the graveyard,taking off towards the item shop. When I got their I walked up to the man,"are their any apples in store?" I asked innocently,pressing my wings against my back so hard it hurt.

He smiled. Did this man ever learn? "Of course! I'll check real quick" he ran off and I grabbed a few X-Potions with my black wings,snatching them so quickly it was probably a blur. "What are you doing?" A voice said and I turned to face Tiz Arrior himself. A bow and arrows were strapped to his back as he grabbed the holy weapon. I gulped "w-what are you talking about,I-" he pressed an arrow against my heart. "You know what you did" the shop owner was nowhere to be seen.

Damn,he saw me I unfurled my wings,hitting him in the face making him stumble backwards. I took off running,grabbing a few other things,Remedy's...Blasams...and a few potions. Tiz yelled, "STOP!" and ran after me. I shouldn't fly away immediately,that would be a mistake with Tiz wielding a bow he could shoot me down easily. I ran down an alley and jumped from wall to wall,Tiz aiming and shooting but missing quite a lot.

I smirked "for a hero of light you sure do miss lot" he growled taking off towards the kingdom. '...?' I followed from the rooftops and saw him suddenly aim an arrow upwards,shooting. Once it got 60 feet in the air it exploded into a giant firework. I cringed as sparks rained down on me. Suddenly a puff of smoke appeared next to him...Ringabel!

Then a girl jumped from a nearby rooftop and landed next to him...Edea Lee! And finally another girl teleported next to him with a teleport stone...Agnés Oblige! He had summoned the guardians! "Crap" I said running away. But Ringabel suddenly appeared in front of me with a puff of smoke. He had the Ninja Asterik equipped and could easily catch me.

I kicked his legs and he tripped as I continued to run. The other pursued from the ground,making sure I didn't escape. I growled and heard very fast footsteps behind me. I needed to take off before he caught me. Tiz was too far away to shoot so I could escape. But I had to wait for the right moment. Agnés shot a piercing bolt at me but I dodged and ran faster. Then I saw the edge of the building,leading to the boundaries of the city.

There was my escape route! I ran as fast as I could,Ringabel gaining on me. I jumped taking off,flying through the air. I was much faster with my wings and could dodge anything if they shot. I heard Tiz tell something before something hit my head hard. Everything became dizzy and I could barely support myself,more less fly. I hurdled towards the ground,not being able to control my movements. I looked to see...Airy! I thought they defeated her! She smirked sending another powerful blast of magic at me.

"Airy!" Agnés yelled. "What does Airy want with the thief!" Edea screamed. "I don't know but she must be important,we have to save her and defeat Airy!" Ringabel said,jumping off the building. Airy hit me in the head almost making me black out. She laughed,her tiny wings looked frail and almost fake. I unsheathed my sword of darkness and swung. I missed. Airy laughed loudly before getting hit by a holy arrow. She turned to Tiz and the guardians of light. Ringabel ran over to me as I floated,trying to use my wings but failed and fell toward the ground.

Ringabel caught me as I tried staying conscious. "AGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH" Airy screamed and yelled "Mortals! You have beseeched me" she created a portal sending one final blow towards the town before disappearing. I suddenly felt energy surge through me and my chest glowed. I jumped out of Ringabels grasp before summoning a dark purple shield and taking the hit.

I landed on the ground softly as the shield disappeared and I fell into black.
