Chapter 1: Surprise Surprise!!

Ashley's P.O.V.

I wake up from a deep sleep. I don't know why but I didn't sleep very well last night. That's when I remembered. Today was the day before my birthday, it was a Friday but we didn't have any school today. Lucky for me. It was December 3rd. I was kinda upset because although i was turning 14 tomorrow Luke wasn't gonna be there. He's still on tour. *sigh.* I stretch my arms and get up.

I go over to my desk and grab my MacBook that Luke got me for Christmas. I open it up and log on quickly to see i have a message from Luke.

'Hey Ashley. Message me back when you see this. Have some news'

'Hey Luke. I just woke up. What's the news?'

'Go downstairs and you'll see.'

Curious, I walked downstairs and into the living room where Jack, Ben, Mum and Dad were standing with huge smiles on their faces.

"Um, why are you standing when we have a perfectly good couch right there?" I asked pointing to the couch.

"We have some news," Ben trailed off.

"Are you gonna tell me?" I was really getting impatient now.

The doorbell rang and Jack pushed me aside to get the door. I just sighed and went to sit on the couch.

"Ashley! Jacklynn's at the door for you!" Jack yelled from the door.

I sighed and got up putting my phone in the pocket of my pyjama pants and walked to the door. Jack walked past me and stood next to Ben and Mum.

"What do you want?" I asked not looking up.

"Is that how you should be greeting your favourite brother?" The person asked.

I looked up and there he was standing there smiling like a goof.

"Luke your home!" I yelled tackling him with a hug.

"How could I miss my favourite sisters 14th birthday? Which by the way I'm gonna make it the absolute best," he said as he steadied himself from me jumping on him.

I just grinned from ear to ear as he hugged me back.

"I missed you so much," I whispered in his ear.

"I missed you too Ash," he says to me.

From behind him I hear a few people clear their throats. Huh?? I think. As I look behind Luke I see the three people I thought I would never meet.

Yes, you're right. Unless you guessed other than Michael Clifford, Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood.

I smiled at them and waved and they just smiled back nervously.

"Ahh lads. Come in," Luke says. They all nod and follow Luke and I into the house.

"Luke it's been a while," Ben says hugging Luke.

"It has," Luke says laughing. This goes on until Luke finishes greeting everyone.

"So, Ashton, Calum, Mikey. You've met Ben and Jack and my parents but you haven't met Ashley yet," Luke states nervously.

"No we haven't. It's very nice to meet you," Ashton says smiling warmly but you can sense that he's nervous.

"Thanks. Same to you all," I said laughing. Luke looks at me as if I'm insane.

"Why are you laughing?" Luke asks.

"It's funny how they're all so nervous to meet me. Guys i don't bite and you seriously have nothing to worry about. From what i see in videos and stories that Luke and all my friends tell me about "5SOS" you guys seem so care -free and chill. Just act like yourselves," I tell them chuckling.

"Alright. Well than why don't we go do something so we can get to know you?" Calum offers. I look at Luke and he nods.

"Alright. Just let me go get ready," I tell them.

"What? You're saying that you don't go out like that?" Mikey asks laughing.

"Yes," I say seriously. Michael immediately stops laughing and his eyes widen.

"I'm so so so sorry if that offended you," he says. Luke and I immediately start laughing in hysterics.

"I was kidding," I say between giggles. "I'm gonna go get ready," I say once we've calmed down. I get up and so does Luke. He goes to the front door to get his bags and then follows me up the stairs. I go into my room and he goes into his.

I pull out a red and black flannel that i stole from Luke then pair it with light wash skinny jeans and some all black converse high tops. I go to the washroom and straighten my hair. I wash my face then brush my teeth before put some cream on and doing my make-up. I put on a little bit of cover up and then a little bit of mascara. I smile at myself in the mirror but get nervous when I think.

'Im going with the four boys of a famous band named 5 Seconds of Summer. The paps? The fans? Anyone else. We're probably gonna get asked questions.'

I shake my head to get rid of those thoughts before leaving my washroom. I grab my phone from my room along with my wallet and put it in a small black purse. I walk out of my room closing my door bumping into someone. When i look up i see none other than my goofy brother.

"Watch it Lucas," I snarl at him playfully.

"Watch it Ashley," he snarls back. I push his shoulder playfully and he grabs me throwing me over his shoulder. I let out a shriek.

"Put me down Lucas!" I yell at him.

"Never!" He yells running down the stairs.

"Put me down," I say pounding against his back with my fists while laughing.

"See y'all later," Luke says running outside. "Ash grab the keys," Luke calls behind him.

"Lucas put me down this instant if you still want to have the ability to have kids," I tell him sternly. I'm not joking I'm getting light-headed. He doesn't listen and i see Calum and Mikey walking out. My vision starts to blur and i can't really see. Why is that? Oh yeah because this bum won't put me down and the blood is rushing to my head.

Calum looks at me and I feel the colour draining from my face. He comes over to Luke and I and grabs me by the waist and out of Luke's grasp before putting me down on my feet. I'm extremely dizzy causing me to stumble and almost fall. Calum grabs a hold of one of my arms and Luke grabs the other.

"Oh My God. I'm so sorry Ashley. I thought you we're joking," Luke says seriously. I just shake my head and hold up a finger telling him to wait a minute. I close my eyes and stand there for a minute until the dizziness goes away. I open my eyes and look at the three - no four- boys looking at me.

"I'm good now," I tell them re-assuringly.

"You sure?" Luke asks. I just nod and he sighs nodding.

"Can we get some food first? I haven't eaten yet," I tell them.

"Sure," Luke says. Once we get in the car, I sit in between Ashton and Calum while Luke drives and Mikey sits up front.

I can't wait to see where we're going. I don't know yet but i hope it's something fun. Let's see.
