Sinnoh
The moon shined down on the Pokemon as it stepped forward. It was a bit nervous, due to rumors from the Mankey’s cries of humans earlier. This species was well known for its fur. Many poachers were after it. It actually use to have a trainer. The Pokemon couldn’t really remember much about his trainer, due to it being several years after he had died. The Pokemon took a step forward and was pulled up. It cried out and suddenly it fell to the ground. It took this chance to get away. All he saw was a human figure.
The human placed the dagger into one of the two boots that were on the human’s feet. If you looked once, the human looked male. That was her goal. This human was Dawn Berltiz, a girl who protected Pokémon. She shivered as she adjusted her hat. She then looked around and headed back into the forest to go save more Pokemon that would fall into the traps that were set up in several different areas.
“That’s another one. These are supposed to be legendary proof!” The boy watched as the leader glared at the cut rope.
“They’re not knife proof, are they?” He spoke up as he walked over. The leader looked at him and glared.
“What are you talking about, Paul Shinji?” He frowned in response.
“Well Proton, look here,” Paul bent down and moved some leaves to reveal footprints. Proton rolled his eyes at him.
“Those are most likely ours,” He flicked Paul on the head, “If you really think another human is here, go find that person and return her or him to base,” Paul nodded as he accepted the mission, “Just kill the other human if she or he resists. Bring rope. I prefer the person alive,”
“No problem. I’ll go now,” He slipped his hands into his pockets, got his things, and headed into the forest.
“That guy will do anything,” The other member said. Proton smirked.
“That’s why we hired him,”
Dawn hid behind a tree as she listened into their conversation. She could take the two and use her Pokemon to get them to the Police station, but that would make the other guy know she does exist. She would have to hunt down this Paul guy first. She quietly snuck away. As she looked for Paul, she destroyed another couple traps. One of them, her dagger wouldn’t cut through. She frowned and took out one of her Pokemon.
“Buneary, Ice beam,” The Pokemon froze the trap. Dawn returned her partner and used her dagger to break the trap.
“Quilava, melt the ice. Try not to leave any way for anyone to follow us,” After her Pokemon did as she commanded, Dawn returned the fire type.
“So that’s how you do it,” She turned to see her enemy standing right there.
“What do you want?” She changed her voice to sound more like a guy as she glared at him. He stepped forward.
“To bring you to my boss,” He responded, “If you don’t come, I will have to kill you,” She stepped back.
“I won’t let you take me that easy,” She smirked, “Now Smoke Screen,” Smoke filled the small area and the two coughed. Dawn controlled her coughing long enough for her and Quilava[Who she had snuck out of its Pokeball] to escape. She returned her pokemon after she got pretty far from Paul. After looking around, Dawn headed toward where she normally spent the night when she was out here. She yawned as she headed toward her cave. She moved the covering to her entryway and entered the dimmed cave. She hid the opening and turned on her cell phone. She headed to town every once in a while to charge her phone. She opened her messages and smiled. After answering her message, Dawn took her hat off, allowing her long blue hair to fall down. She sent out her starter, Buneary, and the rest of her team. She fell asleep with her Pokemon around her.
Paul returned to camp with his supplies. He ignored his traveling partners and headed right to his tent. He lied down and looked at the roof of the tent. His mind wouldn’t stop thinking about the mysterious boy. He closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep.
Dawn plugged her phone into the socket. She had headed to town to take a break. The poachers had headed back to town as well, so Dawn went to visit her mother. The two had headed to a restaurant they always went to. Her mother loved that Dawn was saving Pokemon, but she was a bit scared for her daughter. They always took the same booth where Dawn could charge her phone. Today Dawn really hoped that she could stop the poachers soon. She didn’t want them calling for back up of any sort. She couldn’t do it alone. Dawn was a loner. She had always been, but she did have friends that would do anything for her. As she checked her phone, she sighed. Speaking of one of her friends, one of them had messaged her. She opened the text and glared at the phone.
Kenny: hey dee dee. Sure you don’t need any help?
Kenny was Dawn’s only male friend. He didn’t like that she risked her life for the Luxrays.
Dawn: No Kenny. I’m good. Now I’m busy. Leave me alone.
It was a mean message, but Dawn needed to get her point across.
Kenny: but dee dee! Fine. I’ll message you next time you are in town. I saw you earlier.
Dawn sighed, forgetting Kenny lived nearby. She deleted all his messages and turned her phone on standby. As she went to eat more of her meal, three familiar faces walked in. The poachers! What were they doing? They took their seats at a table with two other people. She recognized one as the famous Drew Hayden, rich at her age. Dawn was in her late teens, so it was weird for a boy so young to be so rich. Where they working for Drew? They talked and the girl laughed. Drew did some talking as well and then they got up to leave.
“I’ll help you guys. Seems like Paul’s not good enough,” Dawn heard Drew say as he left the restaurant. Dawn’s eyes widened. She definitely needed help now. She took her phone off of standby and sent a message.
