Chapter 4

She stared in shock at BlizzardFang and DandelionPaw.Why were they picked?Was it because she was in their lives in some way?She climbed out of the tree,and DandelionPaw ran up to her instantly.
"PhantomPaw!Why are you here?"
"Long story."I meowed when a light brown Tom with a white underbelly and green eyes walked forward a bit.
"Ugh,ThunderClan.Just tell us why were her so I can leave."He meowed harshly.DandelionPaw's lip curled back in a snarl.
"Well,he's got a big mouth."She growled.PhantomPaw looked around as all the 12 cats looked at her for an answer.The only cats she recognized was BlizzardFang,DandelionPaw,and SilverPelt.She looked at RiverClan and the two small cats were FinchPaw and ShadePaw.She parted away from DandelionPaw and walked forward so all the cats could see her.A breeze flew by,and the scent was SilverSoul's,giving her enough strength to know what to say.
"C-Cats of all clans.I believe y-your all here because you were called by S-StarClan."PhantomPaw meowed.
"I was told to come here by some Silver cat.I think she said that she was somecat named Silver-something."A brown she-cat with white paws mewed.PhantomPaw was stricken with shock that SilverSoul even told her name to some random cat.She never tells any cat her name!
"SilverSoul,that's.............anyways,I think that you cats are the cats that,well,go on a quest to save the forest.I don't know where or how we'll do it."PhantomPaw meowed.
"So what do we do?"FinchPaw asked.
"I have a idea,what if we meet here in 4 days to see if we get any signs?"A gray she cat with blue eyes meowed shyly.
"Good idea,MistyPaw!"the light brown Tom meowed as he put his tail on her shoulder.
"T-Thanks,DustPaw."MistyPaw meowed back.
"That's a great idea,MistyPaw.So do we all agree on this?"PhantomPaw asked.All of the cats nodded their heads.
"Ok,let's head back to our clans."PhantomPaw meowed as she walked down to BlizzardFang.
"Wow,I've never been in a prophecy before."He meowed awe-stricken.
"Of course you didn't,you stupid fur ball."SilverPelt meowed as she licked BlizzardFang's ear.PhantomPaw took a few spaces back,not knowing how she just felt.She felt like she wanted to claw SilverPelt.She didn't know what emotion it even was.
"Jealous?"DandelionPaw meowed as she noticed PhantomPaw's sudden change of emotion.
"No.Its just I've never loved someone,or have someone love me."
"Really?Wow....."DandelionPaw meowed at a lost for words.They all headed back to camp,and DandelionPaw and PhantomPaw curled up in their beds and fell asleep.

PhantomPaw raced through the woods on the Hunting Patrol.She managed to catch a couple mice and voles,but prey seemed scarce today.She brought back what she could,but if wasn't much.SilverSoul didn't come to her dreams yesterday,which was confusing.After she ate her vole,she honestly didn't know what to do.She went back into the apprentice den as a wave of exhaustion suddenly hit her as she passed out.

PhantomPaw opened her eyes and was looking at her camp.She tried to walk but her paws were stuck to the ground.She looked up and saw a horrible site.Fire was raging through the trees,heading directly to the camp.She stared in horror as the camp lit on fire,cats yowling as they burned.The sight changed,as she saw a thread lit on fire,burning up quickly.
I may be gone,but you clans live on a thread,PhantomPaw remembered.This was LoneStar's Prophecy!
She was then looking at a fight,cats battling to the death.Cats lying on the ground.
Blood will be spilled,many cats left dead,the second stanza echoed in her head.Then she saw cats token away by a large creature,and other cats alone in the forest.
Tragedies will rise,you may be left to die,she meowed to herself.Then she saw herself.Her purple eyes glowing brighter than the fiercest fire.
But a cat might appear with purple eyes,silky black fur,a StarClan descent,she heard a voice echo in her head,but the last thing she saw was horrifying.The forest was burned,cut down,and unimaginable.
The forest will never be the same again,she remembered.She was still wondering why she was seeing all of this.Then,something else came.She was walking paw to paw,tail to tail,with a white cat.She was leaving a trail of fire,while the other cat was leaving a trail of ice.
Fire and Ice will combine to find the new place to live
Devastation is ahead
but 9 will be left when you count up the dead
You will bring back light
Because you shine in the night
But the betrayal ahead will end in a fight,a voice meowed.She felt a breeze pass by as she is sent a vision of the moon,surrounded by 9 stars.
Find us,we will guide you,they seemed to echo out as she closed her eyes and woke up on the floor of the apprentice den.
Fire and Ice?,was the one line that seemed to stick in her head.

PhantomPaw had been extremely restless since she passed out and got that new part of the prophecy.At least she had something to share when she went to see the rest of the prophecy cats.She didn't even know half of their names!All she knew were DandelionPaw,BlizzardFang,SilverPelt,FinchPaw,and ShadePaw.She shook her head,trying to get rid of her thoughts.But she couldn't,no matter how hard she tried.It was so frightening,9 will be left when you count up the dead.So out of the 13 cats,9 will be left in the end.So 4 cats will die.She wondered who they were.She shivered at the thought.BlizzardFang didn't come over,probably busy with the whole"I'm in a prophecy"thing.Or he's to busy bothering with SilverPelt.The feeling that she wanted to scratch SilverPelt clawed her.She still didn't understand why she felt like that.Maybe it's because she had no one to love.Probably.She just stared at her fresh kill,too deep into thought to notice DandelionPaw walk up to her.
"Hi PhantomPaw!"
"Gah!Oh,sorry.I didn't see you."PhantomPaw meowed as she looked at DandelionPaw.
"Still thinking about the meeting 4 days ago,huh?"She meowed concerned.
"Yeah......DandelionPaw?"PhantomPaw muttered as she looked at DandelionPaw.
"Yah?"
"I...I need to tell you something....I passed out in the apprentice den.....and I got a message from StarClan.
"W-What?!What did yo-"She yelled as PhantomPaw shoved her tail in her mouth.
"For StarClan's sake,can you be a little quieter?ShadowClan could probably hear you."PhantomPaw muttered as she looked around.Thankfully,no cat heard her.DandelionPaw spit out her tail,along with a small clump of black fur.
"Sorry.Anyway,what was it?"DandelionPaw meowed more quietly.
"Well,do you know LoneStar's Prophecy?"
"Yeah,every cat knows that story."
"Ok.Anyway,I was shone the prophecy,except visions of the stanzas were shown.Fire,cats left to die,cats being carried away in some sort of cat sized monster,except these large creatures were carrying them."
"You mean Twolegs?"
"Yeah,I think that's what you called them.But then,something different was said.I-I think its a new part of the prophecy."
"What was it?"
"Ummm.Fire and Ice will combine to find a new place to live.Devastation is ahead,but 9 will be left when you count up the dead.You will bring back light,cause you shine in the night,but the betrayal ahead will end in a fight."PhantomPaw meowed,shivering of the chilling prophecy.
"That's......this isn't good.4 of the 13 cats will die?Betrayal is ahead?Th-This is so hard to take in."DandelionPaw muttered as she looked at the ground,her fear scent overwhelmed her.
"We should get to bed.The meeting is tonight."
"Y-Yeah.Let's go."DandelionPaw meowed as she went into the apprentice den.PhantomPaw followed behind her,looking down at her feet.
Was that the right thing to do?,PhantomPaw thought to herself as she fell asleep.

PhantomPaw was in the lead,with DandelionPaw,BlizzardFang,and SilverPelt behind her.They were on their way to the FourTrees.All of them looked uncertain,as they were confused and worried.PhantomPaw jumped up on the rock.The WindClan cats were already there.PhantomPaw walked down to them.The brown she-cat with white paws that spoke at the last gathering was the first one to walk up to her.
"Hi!Sorry,I didn't get any signs.I didn't tell you my name last time either.I'm TwilightPaw.The light gray Tom over their-"TwilightPaw meowed as she flicked her tail at a light gray tom with green eyes."-is LynxPaw.The pale ginger she cat-"She meowed as she pointed her tail at a pale ginger she-cat with green eyes."-is my mentor,GoldenStripe!"She meowed proudly.She turned around and saw that the RiverClan and ShadowClan cats arrived.She jumped up on the highrock.She looked around to make sure every cat was their.
"Cats of the prophecy,we have gathered here tonight to see if we gotten any signs from StarClan.Speak up now if you had any."PhantomPaw meowed loud enough for every cat to hear,but not so loud it wakes up the whole forest.Every cat just looked at each other.PhantomPaw guessed that they didn't get anything.
"I have gotten a new part of the prophecy from StarClan."PhantomPaw meowed.She saw DandelionPaw shuffle uncertainly.She heard the cats murmur among themselves.
"LoneStar's prophecy came to me in visions when I passed out 2 days ago.Cats were being taken away by Twolegs,cats were dying,a lot of bad stuff happened.But a new part came after that."PhantomPaw meowed as she took a deep breath.
"Fire and Ice will combine to find a new place to live.Devastation is ahead,but 9 will be left when you count up the dead.You will bring back light,as you shine in the night,but the betrayal ahead will end in a fight."She meowed.All she could scent was the fear scent rising fast.It made her uneasy.PhantomPaw suddenly remembered a part that she left out.
"Theirs more.There was a vision of the moon,with 9 stars around it.They said they would guide us,but I don't kno-"PhantomPaw meowed but was interrupt when one of the strongest breezes she's ever encountered.She saw the stars,one particularly.She stared at the star as it seemed to get closer,and closer....and closer.She suddenly realized that is was falling from the sky.When it hit the ground,it didn't create a crater like when she fell.Instead,a bright light appeared as a cat emerged from it.PhantomPaw knew that scent and the fur too well.It walked up to her,it's pelt glistening with an over worldly dust.
"Hi.Long time,no see PhantomPaw.It's been a long time since I've seen you in person."It meowed so calmly.
"S-S-SilverSoul!?"
