Billie's P.O.V

Being a witch is harder than I thought it ever would be, especially having to keep it from my friends. Jim has been my friend for as long as I can remember, and Gail was our first friend in pre-school. Thank God Gail found out, now I feel a little less guilty, a little.

We were walking towards the oval for sport. I was soooo tired after my long night of demon hunting..  I was walking next to Gail and Jim, who was in turn walking next to his girlfriend Sara.

Sara and I had never been friends, actually, come to think of it, Sara had only been friends with the 'cool kids', but we try to get along for Jim's sake.

It doesn't work.

Gail whispered a snide remark about the young couple beside us, which we did regularly, and Jim tried to listen in.

We burst out laughing, and Jim looked at us warily before demanding an explanation. "It's nothing" I smiled innocently and Gail smothered a giggle.

Sara turned on me, arms across her chest, and an annoyed look on her face. "If it has anything to do with us I think we would like to know" she said fiercely.

"Oh, I really think you don't" I replied warningly.

"Oh" Jim groaned "Would you two stop being little girls and just tell us already!".

I exploded in a giggle fit, so Gail had to take over. She whispered in their ears and I waited for their reaction.

Their faces showed, just about, the same thing. Shock, closely followed by embarrassment, then mock disgust.

Actually in Sara's case it was real disgust.

"You two have sick minds" Jim complained. Gail and I laughed again but Sara stalked forward leaving the rest of us behind.

We stopped laughing and I became annoyed. "No sense of humour" I heard Gail mutter. She looked anxiously up at Jim. He didn't look angry or even annoyed.

I looked at Jim then back at Gail, she had a relieved look on her face.

I half smiled before punching Jim in the arm. I went to tease him because he was being to nice on her but stopped.

Jim's face, and body, had completely frozen.

I waved my hand in front of his face but he didn't move. I turned to Gail and she was in the same state as Jim. I took a step forward, to have a better look around.

Everyone was frozen on the spot.

I didn't freeze everyone I thought so who did?.

I turned back to Jim and tried to unfreeze him.

It didn't work.

I even tried to shake him, but he wouldn't budge.

I felt a shiver down my spine, it was my demon sense, it let me know when a demon was nearby. I spun around, but there was no demon there.

Suddenly a cackling sound filled the air. I spun back around in time to see Jim start to fall.
