Vanessa

My heart rapidly pounded through my chest as my arms shaked with no control. I wasn't sure of what to expect next, but my stomach became queasy just thinking of it all. I wanted to go home, I didn't want to be here. I wanted to be in the safety of Robb's arms.

Even with all the hell we been through, Robb would always be my number one. As crazy as it all seemed, deep down I still love him. I felt like a dumb ass actually having feelings for him still, but I knew somewhere the Robb I met was still there. We always had more highs, than lows together. He was my first boyfriend, first kiss, first love.

"Vanessa, you know I love you right?" He told me softly, as I ran my fingers through his hair. I nodded softly, while he continued to lay his head in my lap. It had became a weekly ritual last summer. Every Friday we would go to the woods by his old house and ride canoes in the river. Robb loved being outdoors, the nature of Broward seemed to calm him.

Today we didn't do anything much besides talk and enjoy the presence of each other, but that was enough to make me happy. "You'll always be my baby." He grinned, looking into my eyes as I leaned in to kiss him. He slowly got on top, pinning me to the ground as he kissed me more hungrily this time around.

The sand below us, covered my upper thigh, as Robb grabbed on my butt. He placed one hand behind my neck, as he used the other to find his way into my denim shorts. I could tell he was ready, but I still felt a bit nervous. We were the only ones on the beach, but I knew the others would be back soon with wood for our bonfire.

"Babe..." I said uneasily. He immediately stopped, looking back into my eyes as he pulled off of me. "I'm not ready.... not here, right now." I whispered, looking away as my cheeks grew warm. He nodded understandingly, moving my chin towards him with a slight smile. The gold grills I fell for shining under the setting sun, while he tried to comfort me. He pulled me into a tight hug as I nuzzled into his light blue button down.

"Whenever you're ready, I won't force you." He responded softly. His deep voice sounded calming as his South Florida accent caressed my ears. I smiled slightly, as I stared into his low brown eyes. "I'll wait until you're sure you want to do this." He added, kissing my lips one last time.

"Ya'll couldn't wait till we got home?" Paris asked as he came back holding a few pieces of wood in his hands. He wore his signature bright yellow Supreme hoodie and usual cheesy grin. Behind him stood his younger brother Lewis, Adrienne, and his best friend Indya. Each one of them dropped the wood in a pile as Paris looked up at the setting son before checking his phone. "We gotta do this shit before 7." He advised, as Indya walked over towards her backpack, pulling out a clear jar of cannabis with a smirk. Her, Robb, Lewis and Paris all were Florida natives. being back at the place they grew up seemed to bring out the happiness in them.

Robb grinned, helping me off the sand as I brushed the sand off of my shorts. He made his way towards the supreme knapsack he brought along, pulling out two liter bottles of sprite, dirty. He next pulled out the xanax, setting it on the wooden picnic table beside the two bottles. He opened one of the bottles, pouring it into a doubled white styrofoam cup before handing it out towards me.

"You wanna try?" He smirked, I took a look inside the cup and saw a bright pink liquid. "It's Nuvo." He joked, knowing I wasn't dumb enough to believe him. I took a small sip, scrunching my face in disgust. It tasted like pure cough medicine, not as enjoyable as I imagined.

"She needs to drink it with Jolly Ranchers, nigga. Who brought the candy?" Indya questioned, looking towards Vanessa as she pulled a bag of original jolly ranchers from her Bape hoodie, tossing it towards Robb. He pulled a few out, unwrapping the hard candies as he dropped them in my cup. I took another sip, noticing the flavor improved a bit, tasting slightly sweeter.
