As I walked in the door I smelled the fresh air. My daughter, Lily, was just a month old now and I was so blessed to have her into my life. She was adorable and I didn't know if she was normal but it turned out she was. She had not werwolf of anything in her at all.
Logan grabbed Lily out of my arms and I shot him a panicked look. I smelled Rosie. He nodded and understood. He grabbed Lily and they left out the back door of our small cottage. Then I heard Rosie's thoughts and knew she was trying to hear mine too.
"Skye where are you?" She said.
"Kitchen." I replied as I panicked and tried to get rid of the baby's supplies. I let her read half my mind but the other half I worked hard on so she couldn't read. But it was harder than normal. Your getting better at this. I thought. Thanks, I know. Are you going to Carlisle's? Thought Rose. No. I replied in my mind. Oh, too bad. Now you are. Let's go. She then grabbed me and we were there in 10 seconds. Rosie's best. As I hit there Logan was there but no baby. I made sure to cover him with my shield in case Rosie planned in reading his mind. But I projected my thoughts to him and he thought back that he has left the baby at his mothers house and Ella was taking good care of her. Ella knew too but she was better at keeping the secret than any of us. I looked at Rosie naand she motioned me to go and talk to people, so I did. I met her little baby, Elizabith. She was adorable but if course I'm not going to say she's cuter than my baby. They both looked incredibly amazing for a baby. Then I walked over to Logan.
"Is she safe?" I asked quietly.
"Course. Do you think I wouldn't make sure she was safe before I left to go here?" He asked sarcastically and then pointed off at Rosie looking at me. So I read her mind. She wanted to me to go with her.
"What?" I asked.
"Elizabeth is human and I want her human so we have to act more werewolf around her, no vampire." She said.
"Okay." I pretended to agree but really, without using my vampire side of me, I really can't shield Logan without it. But I hated lying to Rose. Maybe I would just use my shield. I mean, Rosie would do that for her daughter wouldn't she? So is there any reason I can't? It's either put her child in a very slight position that she could be a vampire, or put my daughters life in dangers. Of course I love my daughter more than anything, but does that mean pain for Rosie and her family?
