Date

I got dressed in blue jeans that reflected off my eyes and had floral patterns going up. My shirt was a plain, icy sky blue. It reminded me of my mom. Alice did my hair in a beautiful hair bun that was braided and had one piece of my hair flowing down my cheek. They applied my make up and I laughed. I looked like a perfect vampire now. Though my face has always been flawless, it looked even better than it has ever been. I left and hugged them. I whispered to Alice about what happened with Trent, and asked her to stay with Lizzy. Of course she agreed and I left. I ran out the door and into his nice Volvo. "Hello." I said as I buckled up. Even as a indestructible vampire, safety first.
"Hi. You look amazing." He said.
"Thanks. So where are we going?" I asked him.
"A carnival." He said.
"Oh yay!" I said. And we talked and I couldn't help notice that his smile was so perfect. Finally we arrived at the carnival. He took my and. And we went off.
"What first?" He asked.
"Hard question, well let's see. There is a roller coaster thing. That first." I said.
"Wow that looks deadly. Well then let's go." He said.
"I am dizzy." I said half way through the ride. We laughed as we spinner around again. Finally when it was over we spent about 2 hours on mini games, and by now it was 11:00 pm. That's when I saw him. Trent was with Ethan. Talking behind a game.
"What's the matter?" He asked. I looked dizzy probably.
"Oh nothing. I just... I gotta go... I'm sorry. I'll see you... What about tomorrow? Same time?" I asked.
"Can't tomorrow. What about Monday?" He said, and I nodded and smiled. I held out my hand and he led me to the doorway. There I turned and ran too the game booth.
"What are you guys doing here? You ruined my date." I hissed at them.
"Oh sorry. Well umm. Nothing." Said Ethan. I frowned at him.
"That is a lie. Everyone does something idiot." He said to Ethan.
"I will ask again before I rip your heads off." I said.
"Fine!" Ethan threw his hands up in frustration. "We were talking, that's all." He said.
"About what?" I asked.
"Well about you guys I guess." Said Trent. I slapped him hard.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well Henry over there is nice and all, but I guess he knows something that he should not know. So we went here to spy." Said Ethan.
"Why with him Ethan? Why not Alice? Or Lizzy?" I said. Trent grinned at her name.
"Cause he is my friend." Said Ethan. Well I guess that's new.
"Plus I am obligated to be by his side." Said Trent.
"Why?" I asked.
"Trent just let her be. Lily it is fine, nothing to worry about." Ethan said comfortingly, he patted my back and I growled at them, accompanied by a deathly glare. "Fine Trent tell her." Ethan said.
"Well... I am his brother." Trent said. My mouth fell open.
"I have a uncle named Trent." I said.
"Yes I was named after him, by Lexi, my mom. Plus he was named after Skyes other brother. Anyway, that's about all. My mom thought he might know something about Skye. We can't tell you that though." Trent said, before smirking. "Oh yeah and Alice is with Lizzy." He said. Ugh he knew then. Whatever. Trent walked away.
"Ethan why would you not tell Lizzy?" I asked.
"Cause she's my girlfriend, not my best friend, and she has a lot of family that could put Trent in danger. I don't want him in danger as my brother of course. And then she wouldn't like me. Also I am sorry I didn't tell you. Your my friend Lily, I shouldn't have kept a secret from you guys." He said.
"It's okay. But now there is another secret I gotta keep." I said.
"Oh... Well how was your date? We only saw half of it. He didn't say anything about your mom though right?" Ethan asked.
"Nothing about mom except that he was sorry and then he mumbled something to himself. But otherwise it was great. Perfect even." I said. His gaze dropped to the ground, probably disappointed about me not hearing the mumbling.
"Well I guess you should go find Lizzy." He said. I nodded and ran off, still dreaming about my date. It will be hard in a house full of mind readers to not think about Trent. So I decided to just tell Alice. She already knew probably. It was still surprising.
