About Three and a Half Years Later

"We should just be looking forward to fighting against people with actual guideline, not... Murderers." Pyrrha noted, glancing at everyone around the noodle shack.

"Yeah! And we have a good team! A world renowned fighter, a guy who's practically a ninja, me, who can life five times my body weight, and Jaune!" Nora yelled, glancing at Jaune, who was hunkered over the table, having just eaten too many noodles.

"I think we can do it." Ren noted, giving Nora a pat on the back.

"The worst we have to worry about is losing..." Nora said, her face jolting to one of fright. She then began to sputter on about the horrible consequences of losing, suddenly extremely pessimistic. "And me and Ren have no parents-"

Ren winced at Nora's words, bringing out the painful past that they had both experienced. Ren had hoped that they would never have to remember their painful childhoods, but he supposed nobody could ever life something like that down.

"Nora, we'll be fine." Ren soothed, turning his attention to the speakers, which had just called for them to come to the arena.

"Let's go guys." Pyrrha commanded, leading the half-charge towards the arena.

As the team walked off, Team RWBY sat in awe at what they had just heard. They all were looking at Nora's empty seat, replaying her words in their own individual minds. It was finally Yang who broke the silence, proving to each of them that their ears hadn't deceived them.

"Nora and Ren have no parents?"
