"Alyssa please be safe, you know how I worry for you. You're the only one I have left with your father in jail and your brother in military school. I care for you so much Alyssa, remember that." Mum said to me, like always eh was giving me a speech about being safe when I was home alone. Things never changed in my neighbour hood, always the same old boring crap. "Yep, whatever mum. You know I'll be safe. Just have faith in me for once." I replied as nicely as I could. I watched my mother walk off towards the door, "bye, I love you sweetie, remember the rules." She slowly walked out the door. "Yep whatever bye Mum." And with that she just left. I realised I hadn't told her I loved her. I rushed to the door screaming 'I love you' but she was already gone.
