Chapter Three.
Michael's POV ♂
When is that girl coming?! I have been patient. A full month! She usually came everyday. I miss those cute freckles. She was chubby, but it was baby fat. She was so insecure. I had no idea why, she was adorable. She had to be strong, too. Stronger than I had ever been in life.... I looked at the small camp, falling apart because of the weather. I should look for her. I haven't been outside of the woods since the incident, bit it is about time to.
My eyes get wider as I walk on the small streets. Tree roots had pushed their way out, making the sidewalks cracked beyond simple repair. As I walk, I see her. Amelia is walking down the streets. She is much older now. She looks about 15 to 16 years old. I watch as her eyes grow wide. She saw me. I smirk and motion for her to the forest.
Amelia's POV ♀
Is that.... my IMAGINARY FRIEND?! Why is he here? I haven't thought of him since I moved here! I get a weird feeling in my chest. He motions me to the woods, and for some odd reason, I follow him. I haven't been here since I was 6 years old. It seems much smaller now. As we walk into a clearing, I see a small camp and look over at Michael, with wide eyes. "Um.. Did you do this?" He smiles, confirming my answer. "Its a little too small for you now.. but it can serve our purpose." he says, shrugging. I clear my throat. "You are IMAGINARY, how the hell am I seeing you right now?!" I yell as I flail my arms around spastically. "Amelia, do you believe in ghosts?"
***
It has been a week since the encounter with Michael, who apparently is a ghost. I feel bad for him. Death at such a young age.. it is depressing. He wouldn't tell me what his unfinished businesses was. He just said that I would know soon. Whatever. We meet everyday after school and train for something. I don't know what it is, but he is a freaking ghost. Don't want to get him mad! I sit down on my bed and sigh. Just as I close my eyes, there is a knock on my window. My eyes widen and I slowly look over to the window. There was that handsome neighbor of mine, looking expectantly at me to open my window. I smiled and oblige. "Hey there, Scottish beauty." he says, winking. " Irish!" I say, giggling. I have really started to like this boy. People have warned me by saying he's a player. They say that he uses girls to get what he wants, if you know what I mean. I don't believe them though. They don't know him like I do. He is really sweet, with some sarcasm that makes me laugh. "Whatever." he says, without missing a beat. He looks at my bed and raises an eyebrow. "Nice panties" I turn beet red. I forgot to put away my laundry! He laughs at me. "It's not like I haven't seen plenty before." he mumbles. I pretend not to hear him. "So what's up, Dean?" I say, crossing my legs and leaning over a bit. "Just wanted to see you, my Scottish beauty." "Irish, silly!" I correct. "Mhm.." he hums, obviously preoccupied with more important thoughts. He is an extreme prep. Not my type, but he seems different than most of them. He has a heart. His phone buzzes. "I gotta go. Bye!" Then he jumps out of my window and into the tree. I fall on my bed and sigh, smiling. He is the one. He is the one. He is the one. This keeps on repeating in my head until I fall asleep. I think I'm in love.
