His POV:

I went home. Then I heard the sirens of ambulances, I somehow knew they were heading to the school. I just ran home after that. I unlocked the door and shut it behind me, threw my bag and rushed up stairs. There had to be some kind of explanation in my grandfathers journal. He was an unusual man but always told stories about how he met grandma. I remember his stories would sound so fictional I would laugh. He said he met grandma in another realm. He dreamt of her, I mean how crazy. I never believed him. As I'm reading, I doze off...

It's dark and stormy. The winds were crucial to me. Rain was pouring and it felt as if I was being slapped a thousand times. I see her. I see Marina. She takes a step towards my way and she falls, I quickly rush over to her and help her up. I grab her by her waist and pull her up, fully supporting her, while she leans on me and gets her balance back I take a moment and look at her. She's beautiful. I look down and see her wound from earlier. She looks up and meets my gaze. I could get lost in her eyes. Then a woman appears next to us. "Look" we both look. "Don't be afraid. I'm here to warn you. You must run from them, don't trust anyone but your families. Teachers, officials, or elders. We're-I mean they're out to get you. It's only a matter of time before they contact you." She looks at me and nods. She smiled at us and continued to say, "Look for me. My name is Di-" and she left. Just like that. The winds grew stronger knocking her down, causing me to fall next to her. "I'm sorry" I whisper.

I wake up surrounded by my cousins. What the heck... Why are they here?

"It's activated. They're coming for us all" Johnny said looks at Alex and my mom. She nods and announces outside of my room, "He has awakened. It is time. We must protect our name". With that said a whole bunch of chatter started to break out, I'm guessing there were people downstairs.

What? Protect our name?

"'Ma" I managed to get out.

"Honey rest." Then she left me.

What felt like days later, turned out to be 10 minutes later. I got up rushed passed my cousins and pushed passed everyone else to get to the bathroom, I threw up.

My stomach is all sorts of bubbling. I looked in the mirror and saw a boy, with black messy hair and my eyes were, what? They're hazel? Goodness gracious. I have to work out. I flexed. Then I heard a laugh. I turned around to find Viola. I rolled my eyes. She's no good.

Viola, oh she's smaller than me. Light brown hair that falls just above her shoulders. Brown eyes. Delicate frame, but she's strong. She has perfect teeth and she always smells like... Lavender. And so did my best friend John...

"You always did criticize yourself in mirrors you know." Viola said.

"What do you want Viola, and why the hell are you in my house!" I yelled/whispered. She walked into the bathroom and stood in the door way.

"If you haven't forgotten our families are close. We were supposed to be the ones to bring them together. It was going good until you started having your stupid dreams."

"They're only stupid to you because I fell for a girl in my dreams, where you, kissed my best friend in my house! The audacity you have to come in here and talk to me about this is so-" I was cut off by a kiss. I didn't move or kiss her back. I just stood there.

I felt a salty taste on my mouth and realized she was crying. She mad no sound. Then she backed away with shiny eyes.

"After your dreams started, you never looked at me the same way. You stopped loving me, even if you won't say it. I just wanted to kiss you one last time before I ruined everything." She said.

"What?" I put my head down and started thinking.

"Ruin everything? Vi-" that's when I was greeted with darkness.

A/N: I'm going to be doing some major reconstruction with this book.
