"Darling are you almost prepared? We have the ball tonight!" My mother said, knocking gingerly on my bedroom door, ah shoot I forgot all about it.
"Yes mother, I'll be down soon!" I say, bouncing off of my bed, scurrying so if she did come in, I'd at least look productive. I heard her sigh as her heels clicked all the way down the stairs. Don't get me wrong here, I love my mum, I love my family and everything but this is too much, I just want to live free.
I threw the blue sparkling dress over my slender body as I went downstairs, mother always wished to pamper me for a big dance, and since I'm finally sixteen, I can go to a formal ball. I slowly dipped my way down the stairs as my mother was in her pearls, sitting at the little couch with her curling iron and jewlery box.
"Oh my Ariana! You are going to look astonishing! Who are you going to dance with? Oh! I hope you dance with that handsome lad, whats his last name? Oh yes Dylan Bradcooper." She squealed, running the iron through my little poised curls.
"Mum, he isn't that handsome. What about the Styles boy?" I asked, I could hear my mother shutter at just the name.
"Never say that cursed language in this house hold Ariana you know better than that." My mother scowled as she slapped my hand, I chuckled as I rolled my eyes. They make to big a deal of this whole thing, it was like some family rivalry.
The story that my mother told me was, Once upon a time, there was this evil bitch named Anne Styles. She was pretty, but not as pretty as me, of course but she was wealthy. Not only was she wealthy, but she was my highschool best friend. One day, when daddy and I were dating, this was junior year I believe, she pushed him against the desk, and she basically slept with daddy. Ever since then, we've had cold blood towards each other.
I laugh, it was such a silly reason to have cold bloods towards each other, but what his mother did was cruel and unnecessary. After my mother finished me up, she took out or big mirror to show me my reflection.
"I look like a million bucks." I gasp, spinning around while oogling over the glamour of the dress.
"That's how much it costed." My mom whispered, I laughed as I hugged her.
"Jonnie dear, it's time to come." My mother yelled, ugh this was really going to be a long, LONG night.
