Catherine's POV

"Who?" I asked.

"Marie de Guise...she has arrived at court." My lady announces.

"Find Eliana. Now!" I order as she stands clueless.

Running around the castle in search for her, I find her playing with Julius outside of the castle grounds.

"Catherine? What's wrong?"

"She's here..Marie de Guise." I gasp.

She hurries to grab Julius's hand, dragging him back to the castle.

"Bash!" She calls.

"Take him to his room, immediately please." She orders.

"Of Course." He whispers.

"When did she get here? Why was I told now?"

"I just found out as well, but we need to hide you form her before-"

"Marie de Guise!" The announcer yelled.

We both turned around as she paced down the halls, Mary and her ladies greeted her near the entrance.

"Mother.." Mary says.

"We need to go.." I say.

We snuck passed the guards, as into the hidden tunnels.

"We need to put you in proper attire to meet her, and for the funeral."

Talia, Lydia and some of my ladies dressed her in one of the dresses that Queen Gloria had sent her.

The black lace corset wrapped for waist, as the sleeves lightly came over her shoulders. The black lining crosses around her chest, as the silk fabric dropped by her legs. Talia had put the finishing touches on her hair before placing her gold crown on.

"Perfect...Let's go before she comes and fi-"

"I hear you were still at court.." I here.

"Marie de Guise...how unexpected to see you..here at court after Mary and Francis' wedding."

"I heard you have your son at court..they say he's a lovely young man."

"I am, thank you very much." I here Julius say.

"Madam.." He adds, as he walks to his mother and I.

"Looks like his father alright..congratulations, on being a newly crown King." She says.

"Thank you."

Feeling the tension in the room rise, Marie signals her men to escort her out.

"Mama?"

"You shouldn't have done that Julius.."

"I was trying to help?"

"I know, and thank you. But Marie de Guise is my problem, I don't want you to be anywhere near her."

Seeing as Prince Julius walks around.

"Julius. Do you understand? She is a very dangerous woman, you don't know her like I do. So please stay away.."

"Yes, mama."

"We must go, the funeral will start any time now." I say.

"Talia.." She whispers.

"And so we mourn my brother. A man who always put his country first. Whenever it was profitable. And who always understood his duty. To himself. And now, Bishop Marcombe will say a special prayer." Marie says, after she had said her goodbye's towards her brother.
