He slowly made his way home only to find a broken and mangled piano next to his bed and a teary-eyed Mikasa. Her red scarf wet from the tears she wept while he was away.

Eren didn't come out until the next morning, his tears stained his face. He finally got the courage to get out of his room and get the ice pack the doctor requested for Eren to use. Levi stopped in his tracks when he heard the door open from Eren's room.

"You better?" Levi asked.

"Not really. You can read it all in this letter, unfortunately I fucking ripped it because of my anger issues." Eren held the few pieces left from the ripped letter and replied with his cracked voice. "My dad wants me to move to Japan."

Eren put the ice on his hand and he felt it instantly relax at the cool touch.

"Bull-fucking-shit." Levi replied bluntly. "He can't just simply take you away like that. When did he say he's coming?"

"Today at eleven." Eren replied nonchalantly.

"Well that's just great. I'm not letting him take you. You can hide at my place if you want. Mika can do that as well if she'd like."

"Why are you doing this? Just yesterday I basically ignored you and now you act like nothing's happened."

"Well- oh just forget about it. I wasn't that mad at you. I knew that something was up when you locked yourself in the door."

"Hey, just out of curiosity, why do you play that piece so often..? The one that made me cry, that is." Eren asked.

"Oh that, it's called a nocturne. It means night, so most of those pieces are quite soft and melodic. My mother always played that to me as a lullaby. Guess I got attached to it."

Eren slowly made his way closer to Levi until he could feel Levi's cool breath.

"Thank you for helping me. I don't know how to repay you though.." Eren scratched the back of his head.

"You can repay me with this." Now both Eren and Levi's noses were touching.

Levi took a glance at Eren's soft lips and looked back at his eyes. He then lightly touched Eren's lips with his own. It wasn't a heated or rough kiss, just a reassuring one. Their lips moved in a slow motion. Levi's delicate hands slowly made their way up to the nape of Eren's neck. The taller male's hands lay rested on Levi's hips. Eren didn't want the kiss to end. Just at this one moment, for Eren and Levi it felt perfect.

Until the front door was opened by none other than Grisha Jaeger. He stood there stunned at the scenery from the kitchen. Eren and Levi kissing. He regained his composure and adjusted his glasses and stormed over.

"What is the meaning of this Eren?!" Grisha asked.

Eren parted his lips to see that Grisha saw the whole scene.

"G-Grisha I c-can explain-" Eren stuttered.

"We don't have time for explaining! The plane leaves in two hours! Give me your bags. We're going."
