A/N: Hello everyone! Here is the next chapter! It's a little longer, but meh! :P Enjoy!
I am also dedicating this chapter to micky_monroe because I used the cover she made for me! So I will using it for the time being! :D
“Fucking heels.” I said reaching down to take them off.
I held them at my side as I walked to the end of the tiny alley. A dim light adorned the street, there was no one around and I could hear my heart thumping lightly in my chest.
‘I don’t know where I am’ I thought to myself. Shit.
I walked down the street looking at the small shops that were lined up, all dark no sign of anyone. After about a block I saw a light coming from one of the shops. I walked across the street and up to the door.
“Thank god for twenty four hours diners” I said as I pushed open the door, hearing a small ding of the door.
“Hey sugar.” A lady behind a tall wooden counter greeted me with a smile.
I smiled politely.
“Can I get you a booth?” She asked, grabbing a menu.
I just nodded and followed her to the back of the small diner.
The booth was made of a pale blue leather and the tables were wooden.
“Would you like some water hun?” She asked me, smiling again.
“That would be nice, thanks.” I grabbed the menu, opening it up.
My stomach growled at the sight of all the food and I laughed to myself a little.
“Here you go, hun.” She returned about a minutes later carrying a tall glass of water.
“Thanks.” I smiled, taking a big sip.
“Can I get you something to eat?” She asked me.
“Yeah, I think I’ll get a burger. Just plain please.” I closed the menu and handed it to her.
“Any french fries? Onion rings?” She took the menu from me.
“French fries would be great!” I said a little too enthusiastically.
She chuckled, “You got it. My name is Annabelle, in case you need me, just holler.”
I stared out the window, the town was silent, only the occasional car driving by.
My head snapped to the door when the little bell went off.
“Hey su--oh my goodness. Li! It’s been forever!” I heard Annabelle’s voice chime.
“Anna! The last time I saw you was what, six, seven years ago?” A boys voice said back.
I could have sworn I had heard that voice before.
Craning my neck, I caught a glimpse of the boy. He had light brown hair styled in a shaggy
fashion. His brown eyes got small wrinkles in the corners when he smiled and his smile
was bright and friendly.
Heat crept up into my cheeks when he turned towards me and smiled.
I sat down and faced the window once more.
“Want a booth hun?” Annabelle’s voice was closer now.
“Well, this young lady looks a little lonely, mind if I sit here?” I heard his voice behind me.
I turned around, trying to put on my best smile.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” He said laughing and sitting down in the booth across from me.
