I set down my drink, sighing happily as I leaned back into my chair. “Ahhh… That hit the spot,” I murmured.

Jim nudged me. “You didn’t finish half your slice of pizza,” he informed me.

I cracked an eye at him. “Yeah, so?”

“Well, can I have it?” Jim asked, his blue eyes wide and pleading.

I pretended to think. As I did this, Nate stole the piece of pizza from my plate. “Hey!” I protested, chucking my napkin at him. “Give it back!” I frowned at him.

Nate shook his head, and took a big bite out of the pizza, staring at me as he did so. “Mmmmm… This pizza is soooo good,” he moaned, chewing the food agonizingly slow.

“She was gonna give it to me, Nate!” Jim growled, and made to steal the pizza away from Nate. Nate merely just held the pizza out of his twin’s reach, taking another bite as he did so. Jim glared daggers at our brother, and glanced at Dana. “Mam! Tell him to give it back!” he whined to our mother.

Dana rolled her eyes. “He’s already eating it, Jim. Do you really want it after his mouth’s been touching it?” She looked at Jim with her eyebrows raised.

I snickered, and reached across the table to sip from my coke. I didn’t really care who got the pizza, just as long as it didn’t end up on the floor—or worse, in my hair. There had been one too many occasions of my brothers going at it at the dinner table, and I always seemed to end up with the most food in my hair, even when I had no part in the argument.

I felt a nudge in the side, and looked to my right. Erik had a knowing smirk on his face. “Who do you think’s gonna get the piece?” he murmured in my ear.

I shrugged. “Prolly Nate, since he’s almost done with the pizza anyway.” I watched my brother’s face as he shoved the rest of the piece of pizza in his mouth. “Told ya,” I gloated to my friend, a grin spreading across my face.

Erik just rolled his eyes and watched as Jim proceeded to try and hit Nate from across the table.

“Boys!” Our father’s voice was stern. “Behave, or we’re not going to that movie festival tonight!” Jim and Nate glared at each other before settling into a disgruntled silence. My father sighed with relief. “Thank you. Now we won’t get banned from our favorite restaurant.” As he looked for the waitress to get the check, he didn’t see Nate stick his tongue out at him.

I noticed however, and I let out a small giggle. Nate glared at me. “Shaddup, Silvie,” he snapped.

My eyes widened, and I pretended to be hurt. “I wasn’t even doing anything!” I protested.

“Sure you weren’t.” Erik’s tone dripped with sarcasm, so I punched him in the arm. “Ow! Silvie!”

I stared at him, my eyes narrowed, but said nothing.

Finally, Lukas got the waitress’s attention, and we received our bill. My father paid for it, and I stood up to leave.

“Wait, Silvie,” Lukas told me, and I paused.

“We have to go,” I told him, confused.

“We know, but aren’t you going to say good-bye?” Dana asked, her green eyes wide and hurt.

I smirked at my parents. “Nope!” I replied, and I started towards the door.

“Silvana Crowther!” My parents called me in unison.

I turned, grinning, and said, “I was only kidding. Jeez.” I went over to where my parents were sitting, and gave them each hugs. “I love you guys,” I murmured as my mother kissed my forehead and my father ruffled my hair gently.
