A desperate wandering spirit walked the long empty streets of the town. Lights off, doors shut tight, streets lamps flickering,
the only thing to be heard was the slight rustling of the wind, whisking fallen leaves to and fro about the streets. Grief...Grief clung to the spirit like its shadow. The spirit dragged its tired feet further down the street searching...searching. Suddenly a bright light could be seen from the corner of its eyes. "Hmmmmm" the spirit thought. The closer it got to the source, the heavier the spirit's body seemed to feel. Finally, the spirit was at the window, and an insatiable hunger filled the spirit weighing heavily on its soul. A man. A man and his family could be seen through the window. The children running about and the couple cuddled up on the couch laughing as if they didn't have a care in the world. The family...strange. He had never felt drawn to a family. Looking around, he finally settled on hovering over the window. Looking at the husband, the spirit thought they were young, lively...fresh. Perfect. "Perfectttt" the spirit hissed. A dark, meancing smirk light the spirit's ghastly face, stretching till it seemed as if its cheeks were splitting. Some flesh slid off the creature's bones, alerting it that the time was most definitely near. "Itsss timeee..." The spirit cackled, slithering into the shadows behind the house slowly till it was no more.

"All in good time" the darkness pf the woods whispered into the night. "All in good time"
