Food.
The first word that came into Fern's mind as she awoke from bed. She sniffed the scent of the mouthwatering smell that came from the kitchen. As she got down there Fern's eyes widened as she looked at the kitchen table.
Scrambled eggs
bacon
doughnuts
blueberry muffins
waffles with whipped cream
pancakes with butter
toast with tuna fish and the last of all, Fern's absolute favorite, a Whipped Cherry milkshake with a spoon of vanilla ice cream on top.
This was heaven Fern thought. She hasn't seen this much food other than the 'All You Can Eat Buffet' in Manhattan which she half devoured the whole place the first moment she walked in.
"Ugh Fern you fatty you're on a diet." She says while slapping herself on the face.
"Fern, what are you doing? Sit down for gods sake, you haven't even worn you clothes nor did you eat breakfast. You're gonna be late!"
Fern snapped her eyes to her step mother immediately. "Um i'm actually not in the mood to eat, and besides its just gonna make me much more late."
Oh what a lie she just told. Of course she was in the mood to eat. What kind of person would miss a breakfast that was basically like being served in a restaurant? It was sure as hell Fern wouldn't miss on it.
"You're right. Don't want you being late for class."
Fern could give a less of a damn about her lateness. It wasn't like the teacher gave a shit about it. Fern just didn't want to become any more fatter that she already was. Due to her uniform code, which was a loose shirt with tights that was paired with a long skirt, she felt less cautious about her bouncing belly and of course her enormous chicken legs.
But she wasn't those types of girls that would starve them self to death and form a eating disorder and mainly not eat for a whole entire month because apparently they weren't 'skinny enough'. No
All Fern wanted is to fit into a nice pair of skinny jeans. That's it. Nothing more.
If it was only that simple.

Skinny Jeans
Short StoryHonestly the solution to the problem is quite easy. 1 year equals 12 months on a diet. 12 months on a diet equals 52 weeks on a diet 52 weeks on a diet equals a thigh gap. And finally a thigh gap equals to skinny jeans. Boom. Solved.
