My Future Already Chosen

Brenda's P.O.V. -

It was raining, like really hard and I tried to get to the house before I got soaked. To late, I was already saked to the bone.
I went inside and called "I'm home!" And Chris, my future, you could say came to greet me. And I just wish he would stop being so weird around me.
"Hey Brenda! How was your day?" He asked as he helped me take my soaked jacket off. "Fine, yours?" I replied, not really caring, but asking to be polite. "A lot better now that you are here," He said.
Yeah . . . . You could say he was a little bit to, um . . . . . Clingy, I think the word is. He doesn't like It when I leave, mostly because I don't take him with me.
I groaned and walked into the kitchen to find something to eat, you know because that was the only way out of talking to him.
So I was just looking around, trying to find something good when I felt his eyes following me. And I don't know about you, but I find it creepy, the way he acts and everything.
Oh, oops. I forgot to tell you one very important detail about myself, I'm a werewolf, and so is Chris. But we're not true mates, or whatever you call them. Our parents made it so we had to marry each other, I don't think Chris cares though. I hate them for doing this to me, ever since I found out, I have been trying to find my true mate before it was too late. Because who wants to be mated to someone that isn't their mate?!?
I want to be with my true mate, and they decided that I can have til my 17th birthday to find him. So since yesterday was my 16th birthday, I have 1 year minus 1 day. So that was what I was doing out in the rain, looking for him.
Nothing yet, but I'm still looking and hoping. I wonder what he's going to be like, my true mate, I mean. I hope he's funny, sweet, caring, overprotective, never lies to me, sexy as hell, strong enough to protect me, and is easy to find.
Any girls dream guy, right?
And I won't have any help finding him because my parents want me to be with Chris, and he doesn't have ANY of these traits. It's like my worst nightmare come true. And that's not the only thing, he's REALLY weak. How is he going to protect me if he's weak?
Can you think of any parents that would make you mate someone that isn't your mate? If not, now you do. Sometimes I wish I could run away, but they would be able to find me, and there is no one that would help me.
They're all scared of our families, mostly mine, since they're in the most powerful pack in the area. But hopefully I'll find him, my mate, before it's too late. Before Chris claims me as his.
So basically my life is chained to a life I don't want, my heart chained to Chris, unless I find my true mate. My future chosen for me, til I make my own with him.

- Time Skip -

After two more weeks of looking, still I can't find him. When I walked into the house, Chris walked up to me and said "Do you hate me that much?"
What is he talking about, I turned around to look at him and saw a hurt look on his face and I said "You do realize I see you as a friend and nothing else. Also that I would rather mate with my true mate, right?"
He looked really sad, and more hurt when I said that, so then I asked "Don't you want your true mate?" He Just Stared at me, not saying anything.

Hey guys, tell me if this is any good or not. This is the first werewolf book I've ever written so I don't know if I did any good or not.
I hope you guys like it though -

P.S. - my sister asked me to name the main character, girl, after her and I felt like being nice so, that is who the Brenda in my story is, it's her, BrendaPullin.
Also it may take me a bit to write the next chapter, and please tell me if you like it so far!

Any personalities in here for the characters are not the same as their actual personality, I just have to say this so you don't angry with Brenda for the attitude her character has, and don't judge before getting to know her herself and the character!
