Chapter 1

" I have a task for you tonight ."

I walked up the steps to my house in fear of my step-father being home . My hands shook while i turned the nob . As soon as I reached inside the door , I sprinted to my bedroom before anyone could see me . " Alexia ? Is That you ? " My step-father called . I sighed in disappointment . no matter how fast and silent i run up the stairs , he still hears me . " Yes ? Im coming ." I replied saddened . Walking down the steps , i saw his big figure stand beside the steps .

" I have a task for you tonight . " he said . I looked towards my mother standing next to him and all she did was look down at her feet . " ..Fine .." I said gloomily . " Thats my girl . Now wait til Midnight , Then it's safe to go." I nodded. I turned and started climbing the stairs back to my room .

" Dont forget your mask and gloves." was all my mother had to say to me before she turned back into the kitchen . I despised that woman . The sight of her churned my stomach . I ran back into my room . my safe haven .the only place I had privacy and could be free . I closed my door and looked at my calander .

Tomarrow would be the day . Finally .

I looked in the back of my closet and found my outfit . All black everything. My phone alarm buzzed cuing me that it was midnight.

Its Time .

I slipped in the house . Grabbing everything that was valuable. I slipped out like a snake . Undetected , i ran towards the biggest house in the neighborhood . My House . My step-father sat in the living room waiting for my arrival.

" There you are ! Now let me see the things you have brought !" he cheered. Rudely , I tossed the diamonds and pearls on the table . This man was disgusting . Stealing from others who need this just to quench his thirst of money . " Whats Wrong ?" He said with a evil smirk . " Dont like what you see ? " I turned my head ready to go upstairs when i felt his strong hands pull around to see his face . " Dont give me an attitude little bitch . I can send your mom back to the strip clubs and you back on the

street." he shouted angrily. I turned and ran back to my room . Looking back at my calendar I have already made my plan. I'm going to runaway from this hell hole once and for all . Finally . I'll be free .
