Chapter III- Doughnut Of A Man
Tyler's POV: (aka- Mr. Donavan)
I watch silently from my perch in the corner of the cramped office as Mark yells red faced at a . I'm still reeling from the scene I had just witnessed minutes before. Never would I have thought Lila had it in her to punch another student. Though even I know from personal experience, that a person can be pushed only so far before snapping.
"You've been at this school from two days, TWO DAYS, and your already starting fights!" Mark bellows, a vein popping in his neck. "I have half a mind to expel you from my school Mrs. Valentine!"
"I didn't start it." Lila speaks for the first time, her voice void of any emotion and her gaze chilly.
It's strange seeing the young girl like this instead of the smirking girl that sits in my class. Even I have to admit that the mysteriousness that seems to surround her pulled me in deeper than I should be. There are a plenty of beautiful girls walking around these halls, but never have I found any of them appealing. I haven't found anyone attractive like that since my mate, but then Lila walks into my class and it's impossible not to stare. There's some sort of connection with her that even my wolf feels, which is making controlling him even harder.
"That's not what several witnesses say. I have six trustworthy boys from the football team telling me that you punched Brittany Adam's for no reason."
I find it hard to refrain from smiling when Lila snorts at Mark's response. "Those boy's are liars."
"Now you listen here young lady! You best believe the I've heard the rumors flying around school about you and your mother. I don't care what the kids are saying nor do I care about your mothers questionable business. What I do care about is you harming one of my students."
I can feel my wolf raising in me listening to Mark's angry speech. He has no right judging a student based on a few petty rumors and her mother's career choice. He crossed the line, and lost all forms of respect I held towards him.
I'm about to butt into the conversation, but skid to a stop when Lila's chilly gaze turns into a full out icy glare. I can practically feel the chill from where I'm standing.
"Let's get one thing straight here Mr. Lockwell." She stands slowly from her chair and I'm surprised to see her small frame towering over the doughnut of a man. "You do not talk about my mother. Yell at me all you want, but mention her again and we're going to have a problem."
"I don't appreci-" Mark starts to rise from his chair also, but stops midway as Lila places her hands firmly onto his desk with a loud slap.
Leaning in closer towards Mark who is starting to look less confident, Lila glares down at him threateningly. "This conversation is over."
I'm cemented to my spot as she turns on her heel and walks to the door with her head held high and a chilling expression on her face.
"Don't you-" Mark stumbles up from his seat a look of both rage and barley hidden fear flashing though his eyes, but Lila cuts him off once again this time without turning to look at him.
"Anna Summers." She says over her shoulder causally, but the words have a very strange effect on Mark. His whole face pales and his eyes practically bug out of his head. All the anger has disappeared from his face, a look of complete and utter fear replacing it.
My jaw is practically hanging as she just strides right out of the room without another warning from Mark. The principle falls back into his seat and simply stares after the girl.
After a second I find myself running after Lila, filled to the brim with too many questions to count. I spot her long silky hair before the main doors close hiding her from my view.
"Lila- wait!" I yell, running down the sidewalk after her. Either she doesn't hear me or doesn't care and continues on her way without pause. Growling lowly out of annoyance I quickly run in front of her, forcing her to stop.
"What do you want Mr. Donavon?" She signs in defeat, head bowed causing her hair to cover her face like a curtain of dark chocolate.
"I want to know what the hell just happened in there!" I refrain from yelling in her face.
"There isn't much to say." She shrugs straightening up and running a hand though her hair like the whole situation wasn't a big deal.
"Not much to say?" I growl. "There is plenty to say! Lets start with who the hell is Anna Summers and why did Mark react the way he did to hearing her name?!"
Lila stares at me silently for a moment, as if debating whether to tell me or not.
"She's the girl he killed."
Don't hate me!! I know this chapter is shorter than the first two, but I wanted it to be in Tyler's POV so we get a little sneak peak into his head:) I'll update soon!! -Morgan
