Damn It

Life, as if it wasn't hard enough. I ran from the classroom, tears welling up and spiling out. Damn you anxiety. I can't breathe, I physically can't breathe. I sank against the lockers my head in my hands. I need to get my sorry ass into my car so I can just drive without stopping.

You know that feeling you get when when you miss a step on the stairs that stomach lurching feeling that's what it feels like mixed with drowning it's unbearable. That and depression makes me the the most difficult mixed-up, mind maze jigsaw out there. I wipe my eyes the feeling almost gone as the bell goes I stand there and let the noise fill my ears before clutching my pastel satchel and running to my rusty, old excuse of a car and yank the door open and igniting the engine.

I sit with my head on the steering wheel calming my breathing for a moment before I hear the yelling.

"Hey, hey Dipshit!" The noise of my unwelcomed nickname give me the strength to reverse from my parking space and take a glance at the namecaller. Tyler Cantborough. I knew without looking, I sped out of the school car park eagerly and drove to the first place I could think of.

Starbucks, yes my only true love the thing that gives me courage to get up in the morning. Oh Starbucks my debts for you can never be repayed.

The smells of heaven fill my nose as I open the door and enter the queue. I stand there having pleasant daydreams of the creamy goodness when I'm interrupted. For God's sake is a moment of happiness to much to ask for? Apparently so.
"Hey Sage, what was that about? R u ok? Want me to call your mum?" Ashley rambles on intill he notices I am staring at him with a look of amusement.

"What" He asks sincerely. "Call my Mother did you say? And what is she going to do that would possibly do to help the situation? End the call? Tell me to get over myself and say I'm wasting my time?" I ask masking my face with a look of despair.

He looks at me with guilty eyes ready to string together a response. I cut him short and laugh, rather loudly actually, at him. Everyone turns to look at me I don't care because when am I going to know when I will next smile?

I order a Pumpkin Spice Latte and almost die as it enters my mouth. Ashley invites me round his for one of are favourite Friday Film Nights and I laugh and except it.

As we are driving home I notice him taking long glances at me and his hand creeping closer to mine.

Oh Ashley, I didn't want to have to break your heart. I think regretfully
