After I departed from the hospital I was sent home. When I arrived, I got yelled at and was sent to my room. All because I gotten into a fight at school. The day rolled by and soon, It was 2 in the morning. "Man... I kinda hope I get to see Tony and his girl again..." Riley mumbled, soon growing drowsy and diving into the endless sea of dreams.
The next day, I did my usual routine. I got ready for school. Luckily, no punks or bullies were in sight. I walked to my class, eyes light purple. By accident, I tripped another fur. I looked at him worryingly. "S-Sorry..." I stuttered, helping him up and grabbing his things for him."It's... Okay... I think you may have squished mg tail a little bit..." he murmured. 'He has a tail?' Riley pondered. The other fur's eyes showed no Irises or pupils, but only a swirling line. He soon shook his head and then his eyes went back to their normal selves. Crimson-Red irises with a pupil.
I was grabbing his glasses and his paw touched mine. I reeled my hand back in immediately letting him take it. "Um... Sorry... T-There you go..." I stuttered once again, handing him his glasses. "Thanks...I'm a transfer, so I'm new around here... My name is Tony Shepherd." Tony replied. He was a sheep, and he looked cute, especially nervous. "I'm Riley...Riley Wolfhound... Nice to meet you... Tony." I pull my hand out to shake. Tony did the same and we shook hands.
"Here, let me make it up to you. Sound cool?" I ask as my eyes go orange. "Yea- Woah! Your eyes changed from purple to orange... Is that normal?"
"I don't know, are swirling eyes normal?"
"Umm... Hey look! A dollar! Just kidding, let's talk about this and the last subject never. Anyways, sure, I'll go with."
I write down colors and emotions, then handing it to him. "Just so you know what's with my eyes." I explain.
"Oh, ok, cool. But how about after school? At the diner?"
"Sure. I'll see you there!"
He walked away fixing his glasses. I walk to my class blushing, eyes orange as ever.
The day passed by and I was in my last period. My eyes had began losing their orange a while ago. All the girls kept on laughing and giggling when they saw me after the meeting with Tony. I never knew why though. The bell soon rang and I began to walk home, texting. A hand soon stopped me. I looked up.
"C'mon, do you really want to end up in the hospital again Riley?"
"Logan? Hey man! I've been wondering where to you were. Say, where's your girlfriend?"
"Oh, she ditched me and then I saw this wolf guy that I met in a fight, then a hospital."
"I wonder who that could be..."
"Well here, let's just walk for a little, okay?"
"Yeah, okay."
Me and Logan walked all over the neighborhood. He even showed me a app where I can see where I'm going and text. Eventually, we reached my home. "Hey Riley."
"Yo."
"It's been rubbing me the wrong way to not ask, so I'll just say it. Are you dating that transfer?"
My eyes turned violet.
"N-No! Where'd you get that information anyways?"
"Too. Many. Girls. Well, I should let you go or you'll be late for your 'date'."
"It's not a date! I'm only being nice because I accidentally hurt him and felt bad about it!"
I ran inside my home and Logan left. I then sat down and thought, thinking I had forgotten something. "Oh great, the hangout!" I shouted, eyes going red, soon fading. I quickly got ready and dashed to the cafè.
I ran my fastest, knowing I was late. Tony was waiting outside, constantly looking around and looking back at his watch. He soon spotted me and waited.
"...Heh... Sorry it took... Me so long... Whew!"
"Don't sweat it. Literally. Anyways, c'mon, those burgers aren't going to eat themselves!"
"Alright, alright!"
We both walked in to see the place was filled. Tony maneuvered through the people without them noticing. For me though, I couldn't get past the first person. Tony looked behind him and noticed that Riley wasn't there. He looked and saw me in the back. Tony then grabbed my hand as my eyes turned a purple/pink. Tony then pulled me through the group of people. Soon we were face, he backed up though.
"Sorry about that, I saw you in the back so I reached out to get you up here. Say, what do those colors mean again?"
"N-Nothing. Come on, were next up."
"We are? Oh we are." They then were in the front. Tony requested and were guided to a table. They both ordered and began to talk. Though a familiar someone spotted them in the diner.
"Oh look, it's the weakling and his boyfriend!"
"That voice... I've herd it before..."
"Huh?"
It were the same people that put me in the hospital. I got up. He wasn't going to stand down this time. My eyes turned crimson red.
"You better get oit of here beFO-!"
I had gotten punched in the side of my head and knocked to the ground. "R-Riley!" Tony paniced. He got on his knees and scanned me. He then had a look of pure anger in his eyes.
"Aww, is the owners pet sad that I hit him? What are you gonna do pal? Growl at me?"
All 3 of them laughed it up. Everyone was watching. Tony got out one of his books from his backpack and read quickly. He then stood up and scooted me away a bit. Looking at his book, which was a textbook about the human body, he then shut it and looked the bull dead in the eye.
"Oh, now what are you going to do you nerd?"
"You hurt my friend..."
"Oh boo-hoo. Deal with it!"
"...Never mess with someone from the Shepherds family!"
Tony move quickly and smoothly. He karate chopped a certain place in the three bullies necks. One moment, they were standing tall, the next though, they were asleep on the ground. Tony kneeled down again and put away his book. He then looked at me.
"Riley, are you aw... Ril... Ley!"
I had blacked out.
