I woke up that morning feeling groggy and completely disorientated, until I remembered where I was.

"Round two, here we come." I said under my breath.

I was about to walk out to the kitchen until a mirror hanging on the wall caught my attention, and I saw my appearance.

I was so worked up from yesterday that I had forgotten to change into my pajamas when I fell asleep last night, which explained the grogginess. I changed into my pajamas and slightly brushed out my hair to make it look slightly less animalistic.

I walked into the kitchen only to see the last person on this planet I wanted to see at the moment, Derek. Not Stacy, nor Trent were with him. He was sitting alone at the kitchen counter typing furiously on his laptop, with an untouched glass of orange juice sitting on his right. He wore a full on black business suit with a maroon colored tie as his only pop of color. He did look hot, but I wasn't about to let him know I thought that.

Still holding a grudge from the night before I haughtily walked straight passed him as if I didn't see him at all. I headed for the cupboard, and took out a glass without making a single notion he was there. I was pouring myself some milk when he looked up and spoke to me.

"Good morning," He sounded much more upbeat then my first encounter. He almost sounded pleasant. "I trust you slept well."

I was somewhat astounded by his change in behavior, so much that I stammered for words.

"I-I did, uh-thank you."

He simply nodded but continued to stare at me. His gaze lingered over me as if he was searching for words to say. He stayed this way for about five seconds longer then I wanted him to, so I decided to say something.

"Where are Stacey and Trent?" I said looking down, breaking eye contact in such an awkward manner, it somewhat surprised him.

"Oh! Well they-uh- went to the...the..." His voice trailed off into the distance, trying to remember what the word was.

"Market?" I chimed in, hoping to finally end this disaster of a conversation.

"Yes! Yes, yes. That's where they went." He said, relieved.

"Well then, I better go back to my room and start unpacking." I nodded my head and turned to walk back to my room. Derek remained silent, fortunately.

I closed my door and set the glass on the coffee table in front of my bed. It was a very large room. It was well equipped with a queen sized bed, wooden floors, a massive TV and a sliding glass door that led out to a small balcony overlooking the ocean.

I sat on the edge of my bed and flopped back with no hesitations whatsoever.

"This is my life for the entire summer." I said aloud. I talk to myself sometimes. I tried for a long time to convince myself that it's normal but it's not. I guess I'm just different that way.

I sat up and said, "You've been given a wonderful gift Jessica. You get to come and live in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for the entire summer, for free too! So be grateful, be happy about it. This will be..." I paused and took a deep breath. "Hell."

I guess I try to be happy and look on the bright side of things, but my pessimistic nature always kicks in and takes over in the end. The conclusions never turn the way you'd think them to.

I pulled out my cell phone and texted Stacey, only to remember that I can't text her until I pay for service here in Mexico. That's just great.

I decided to busy myself with taking a shower, and after about five minutes still in the shower, Stacey walks in.
