Chapter I: Nightmare
December 24, 2014/11:29 p.m.
All of the people were enjoying.. I see families, couples, friends everywhere. Some of them were laughing, giggling to each other. Indeed, I found myself smiling on my own. With some snow flakes falling into me, the surroundings were covered with snow. I felt my hot breath being blocked by my maroon scarf, tugging it closer to mine.
I started to walk, feeling the soft snow bed on my feet. Looking at the dark blue sky that there's a falling snow wherever you look. It really feels amazing, and incredibly soothing. I was too distracted by the sky, with the snow flakes falling to my face, until there's a one snow flake that got my whole attention. Slowly but surely, I catched it on my right palm, and held it so careful that it might be broken if I did any carelessly move. I look at it and noticed something about the features of the small snow flake.
It's shape was a shape of octagon, with double stars inside of it. "Aww" escaped through my lips and I smiled gently, I can't believe that even though I was alone in this Christmas eve, I can still enjoy what's on the field of my vision. Until...
"Kazumi!" someone called out to me and it was a feminine voice, I turned around and looked at who's the caller is, and a smile slowly creeping into my lips.
"Ayane..." I replied with a soft tone, and I totally let go of the tiny snow flake that I got few minutes ago, then wiping my palms on the hem of my scarf.
I noticed that she was not alone though, until then I noticed, it was them. They ran to me and waving their gloved hands at me.
"Kazuuuuuuuuuumi! There you are! Just as I thought, you will go here to have some fun too! Why you didn't tell us? Oooohhh! You're ditching on us, aren't you?!" a sharp but sweet voice said to me, I only smiled at her as she puffed her cheeks so cutely, this short girl was Sena
Sena Hiragi-Joo was a short girl with a chocolate brown short hair. She was a half Korean and the other half was Japanese. But still, she was born in Japan and she doesn't know how to speak Korean language though. Her father was a real blooded Korean, while her mother is a real blooded Japanese.
"Not really, I'm just strolling though, Sena-san. Just passing time I guess?" I replied with a light chuckle.
"It's 'Sena-chan'," she corrected me, frowning. "how many times do I have to tell you to cut that '-san' to me! I feel like an old woman! Awwww." she pouted.
"Sorry...sorry, Sena-chan.." I apologized while scratching my head, chuckling softly. "So where you guys going then?" I asked them.
"Aren't we the one who will ask you that?" retort of a guy's voice that made me revert my gaze from Sena and to the guy.
Takagi Makoto, my childhood friend since elementary. He's a naughty child back then but also a good friend. We known each other for almost 10 years and whatever happens we're still friends though. But....
When Makoto said that, I was left speechless though. Yeah, we're friends....but... we're not the same close friends anymore compared when we're still a kids. But I can't blame him, I really can't. It's because of me why our closure to each other was gone. And actually, it's really was my fault.
"You know what, that doesn't matter now. Didn't you just heard what Kazumi said lately? She said she's just only passing her time. Just let her be, remember it's Christmas eve." Ayane said, cutting the dead silence as she spoke while the others nodded.
