My alarm clocked rang loudly.

6:45 a.m.

I got out of bed quickly. It would of taken me hours to my outfit if I wouldn't of picked one out the night before. Today I was starting high school. I was anxious, scared, nervous, yet excited at the same time. Since my family has moved to a new town, I will not know anyone there, and I'm hoping I can make some friends easily. I hopped into the bathroom and took a long shower, letting the hot water drip down my long, dirty blond, dip dyed hair.  Once out, I got dressed quickly, and went to blow dry my hair. I put on some foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and my favorite EOS lip balm. My naked feet felt cold as I walked down the hard, wooden stairs. I found a note from my mom saying that she had to work the early shift again. It seemed like she never gets a break. I thought. I guess it's worth it though. I made myself eggs and poured a glass of orange juice and skipped to the dining table. I checked my phone for messages. None. As always.  I finished and set my plate down in the sink, and looked at the microwave. Bus gets here in 10 minutes. Walk or Ride?  I walked to my front door and pulled on my backpack and black Converse.  About halfway to the bus stop I knew I should of put on a hoodie. My Iron Man shirt wasn't the warmest thing in my closet, and my shorts weren't helping. Well this is Cali we're talking about, it'll be warm in no time.

I stepped out of the bus, staring at the huge high school. Here comes a new journey, Megan. I pulled out my class map and looked for the first class. English, oh great. As I walked through the halls, I saw few people notice me. Right as I saw the class number, someone had dropped there books, which one of them I happened to trip on, also making me drop my books. I helped pick up their books and they helped pick up mine. I realized I hadn't even looked at this nice stranger. I pulled my hair out of my eye and saw a red-headed girl my height. I smiled and said a simple, "Hi." We both got up and she said," Hi! I'm Kat, I haven't seen you here before."  I nodded and said," Yea, I just moved here recently, it's my first day. I'm Megan." The bell rang and students rushed to there classes. "What's your first class?" Kat said, starting to walk. "Erm, English." I saw excitement rush though her eyes. "Me too!" She exclaimed. I smiled in relief, thankfully finding a new friend already. We both walked into class together, finding seats near each other.

There was something about Kat that seemed different, she made me feel, different. Her eyes almost made my heart drop. The thought of her made me bite my lip. I had feeling Kat and I were going to get along pretty well.
