I take a deep breath and ring the doorbell, Jai opens the door almost immediately. "Hey" I say "Hi" he says and kisses me on the cheek, a chill runs through my body. "Close your eyes" he says "What?" I giggle "Close your eyes! I have a surprise for you" I giggle and obediently close my eyes. He takes my hand and leads me inside. Once I am inside he positions me steps back and says "Okay, you can open them now" I open my eyes and gasp. The room is dark except for twinkling Christmas lights on the floor outlining a pallet of pillows and blankets. There is slow soft music playing and I can smell the scent of freshly made popcorn."Jai, it's...it's beautiful." I look up at him and he leans down and kisses me softly. I love his kisses. Then he hugs me and picks me up and twirls me around. When he sets me down I ask "Whats all of this for?" "It's to make up for last time. Ari I'm so sorry I-" I cut him off by putting my fingers to his lips. "Let's not think about it. Lets just enjoy this moment right now" He smiles, takes my hand, and leads me to the pallet and we sit down. "What do you want to do?" I ask "I thought we could watch your favorite movie" he replies "Bruce Almighty?" I say cheerfully "What else?" He says with a smile. I lay my head against his chest. I can hear his steady heart beat as he begins to play with my hair. He makes me so happy. "I love you" I say. He kisses me on the head and says "I love you too." I give him a big hug and then the movie begins.
*1 hour later*
We are about half way through the movie when I have to pee. I tell him where I'm going and begin to stand up. As I'm standing up I accidentally knock over my cup of water. "Oops" I say "Oh my God!" Jai screams "Jeez Ariana, you can be so careless. Next time why don't you look where you're going!?" "Jai, it's just a cup of water, it's no big deal. I will clean it up wen I get out of the bathroom." "No big deal? Clean it up when I get out if the bathroom!? God don't you care at all!?" "Of course I do! Why are you screaming at me? You're starting to scare me" "I'm starting to scare you?" He takes a step towards me and I step back "What am I some kind of monster?!" He takes another step forward and gives me a little shove. In shock I say "Don't you dare push me!" And I give him a harder shove causing him to stumble. I realize what I have done and start to back up, but before I knew it he had shoved me on the ground. I let out a yelp because I landed on my wrist and I think it hurt it. Before I had a chance to scurry away Jai picks me up and pushes me against the wall and knocks the breath out of me. I gasp for air and a tear escapes my eye. I look up and meet Jai's gaze. When he realizes that I'm crying his eyes soften. I look at him in wonder as his bottom lip starts to quiver. "Jai I-" but before I had a chance to say anything he presses his body against mine and begins to kiss me. For a moment I forgot everything that had just happened and just focused on how happy I was when he kissed me. We kissed for a couple of minutes till he pulled away. He looks down and I can see a tear fall to the carpet below. I angle his chin up so we are looking eye to eye. I brush the tears off of his face and let out a soft shhh-ing noise. "Ariana- I can't- I didn't mean- I-I'm sorry" another tear escapes his eye. "It's ok" I say softly "you can't control it" "No, it's not ok" he says "I am supposed to be the one to protect you, not the one you need protection from!" I move the hair out of him eyes and say "Hey, I love you, and there is nothing you can ever say or do that will change that" He smiles softly and I begin to kiss him.
