Trouble Came

Trouble came to my senses rushing in my blood carrying chills as soon as I told George that he would come with me. I wasn't  thinking  properly. I should always keep this quote or phrase in my mind or whatever you call it "Think before you speak." I don't  know why I said it but then one reason crept up into my mind telling me that I was trying  to be brave. Anyways we both went together on the dark cold street with shadows lurking around.

Finally we we're on the doorstep of George's  home. I turned  the brass doorknob with it's crieking sound that would give you chills and remind you of a haunted house that you see in movies. I looked onto my shoulder and saw George giving me a poker face. We entered the dark, eerie and quiet home of the Patterson's family (Patterson is the last name of George if you have read the second chapter entitled "Arrival".)

As we entered the dark hallway I switched on the light and saw a shocking scene. I saw a dead man's body lying coldly on the floor. You would not recognize what expression  he was wearing for it was covered with blood. I recognized that the man was George's  father.
