Theodore
The garden was beautiful that day, extraordinarily, he felt happy, content. He hummed to himself, a tune he had heard before but somehow couldn't remember where it came from. Theodore had a small smile on his face as he tended to his blooming flowers. The lilies looked beautifully white that day and he was floating on cloud nine.
"Theo? "The soft voice of his mother made him turn and his smile wavered at the watery eyed look on her beautiful face. He turned to her fully and slowly made his way towards her. She looked down.
"Yes, ma?" He asked with furrowed brows and he heard her sniff so he put his hand on her shoulder. "What's wrong, ma?"
"Oh, Theo... "she sighed, her shoulders slumped in defeat." I am so sorry. "She pulled him closer to and he held her tight.
"What is it? Ma, you're scaring me."
"Theo, I - "She broke off as his father appeared and touched her shoulder roughly, making her wince.
"Son, we need to talk, now." They pulled apart, both facing him. Theo looked to his mother in question but she avoided his eye, worry bubbled up inside of him. What could his father possibly need to talk to him about? And why was he so tense?
"Alright, pa, I'll be right there, just...just one moment. "He turned to go and give his roses a bit of water before making his way back to the house. The vines along the wall seemed to sing his name as he walked, sending a warning and he paused to look at them all in wonder.
"Theodore," the cold that seeped through his father's voice made him freeze, it could only mean one thing and that one thing greeted him with a smirk as he round the corner into the living room.
"Yes, father? "He asked with every ounce of respect he had in him, his head bowed and his eyes down cast. Their Alpha was there, he stood tall and proud, dominance and authority coming off of him in waves, as well as something else, something dark and carnal, something which shook Theodore to the core, so much so that the vines dominating the house began to slowly shrink away.
"You remember our Alpha, right? He is here to see you. "Theodore snapped his head up, his eyes widening as his heart began to sink. What could their newly appointed Alpha want with him? What could he possibly have that he wanted?
"Would you excuse us please?" He asked Theodore's parents, making him shoot a pleadingful look to his father who only shook his head hopelessly.
"O-of cource, Alpha. "They said together before making their way into the living room.
"Go outside." The Alpha didn't even try to be polite. Slowly the vines along the walls grew sharp thorns. "Stop that," he growled once the front door shut behind Theodore's parents, he jumped, looking up at his Alpha.
"What are yo-"
"Don't act fucking stupid! Stop with the fucking vines, "he kept his voice low and menacing, Theodore took a step back in fear. He glanced to the vines which grow all around the house, reacted according to his emotions.
"I-I... I can't stop it. They do what I feel." He whispered as he watched the pupils of his Alpha dilate.
"You are going to be my mate, "the statement caught him off guard, he blanched and stared up at him in shock.
"What? But...but, you already have a mate... Sir." Alpha Jeffery smirked down at him.
"And that mate is you... Three days, Theodore, three days and you and I complete the mating. " His life had never been the same from there.
------------
Tears streaked his face as he stared at the large wolf's head, the sad eyes penetrating his soul, reaching out for him, begging for him to take back the words.
He is not Jeffery, Theodore, he will never be him. Theodore glanced over at Elijah, his bright blue eyes dark with anger, glaring at him. He felt his heart break.
"I don't know how this goes. "He licked his lips."I don't even know how it feels. I don't want to be a prisoner anymore." He whispered, "I don't want to be held back from who I am." He said much stronger. The wolf whimpered before nuzzling his hand, the sparks which erupted up his arm were undeniable, this was one thing he and Jeffery didn't have, that they would never have. Just as soon as they were there, they were gone, his big wolf stood up taller, his chest puffing out strongly, Theodore couldn't help the thump his heart gave at the sight, such a handsome sight. Then Winston turned and he ran into the woods, a howl left in his wake.
"I can only hope you know what you are doing." Theodore looked to a not so calm Elijah as he turned from him without a glance and stormed into the woods in a different direction, seeming to leave a trail of fire in the air, the scent of burning grass fluttered in his wake.
Shame and regret, two things Theordore had never once been familiar with, two emotions he had managed to keep out of his life until then. The crowd dispersed, parents frowned at him and teenagers gave sympathetic smiles while the children of Elijah came to his side. He was now cross legged on the ground.
"Hello. "They said to him in unison, small smiles on their chubby faces. He looked between them both in astonishment, he wouldn't have guessed it to be two of the Alpha's kids to speak to him, especially when everyone else wasn't sure how to approach him. He smiled at their curious gazes.
"Hi. " He greeted and they both turned to each other and gave a nod.
"I'm Christian," he had brown eyes and fluffy blonde hair and looked just a little bit older and Theodore had to admit he couldn't see any of Elijah or Donovan in his features.
"And I'm Claude. "Claude had hazel green eyes and brown fluffy hair. They beamed." You're Theodore. " Claude said after a pause.
"I like your name." Christian told him, sitting down beside him. Theodore found himself smiling, though his heart felt weak, broken as it called out for Winston and his wolf.
