I Wish

I'm Emily!

I woke up by the sound of my alarm going off. Today was the day I was going to meet the fellow band mates of my best friend. Not gonna lie, I was really nervous but I'm pretty sure they will be really nice. I got up and had a shower before I blow waved and straightened my hair, then I went on to my outfit. after long consideration and a lot of help from Josh I finally decided on my knee length white floral dress, my white converse (obviously if Josh helped me pick out my outfit) and my little white denim jacket, just a casual look but I still wanted to look nice. when I was ready I went down the stairs to find Josh already fully ready with his jacket on and everything! we walked out of the house into Josh's car because I didn't know the way to Cian's house as it was in Mayo. The car journey was silent but not awkward. Josh could see I was really nervous so he grabbed my hand in reassurance and said "Emily it will be absolutely fine they will love you!" he said something after that but I couldn't quite catch it. soon enough we got to Cian's and I started to feel really anxious but I'm sure it will be fine so I put all those thoughts to the back of my head and got out of the car. we walked up to the door and a short boy with an average sized brown quiff and a really nice smile opened the door, I guessed his name was Dayl seen as in Josh greeted him by saying " hey Dayl bro whats going on" I do worry about Josh sometimes. this Dayl wasn't a bad looking fella neither which was good. we walked in and there was 5 more people sat in the room, 4 boys and a girl sat on one of their knees. I guessed that was Cian and his Girlfriend as Josh had told me Cian was the only one in the band who had a Girlfriend. one of the lads greeted us by saying "hey Josh so this is your Girlfriend that you keep banging on about?" I blushed and by the tomato looking face that was next to me I knew Josh was doing the same. after a few minutes Josh introduced me to everyone, I learnt that there was Cian, Dayl, Ryan, Dean, Brendan and Cian's girlfriend was called Steph. I knew from the moment she ran up to me and gave me a massive hug that we were gonna be best friends. I couldn't keep my eyes off Dayl and he proved that he couldn't do the same. Dean interrupted us by asking the boys if they wanted to sing a song and they all agreed so me and Steph went to get drinks. we got into the kitchen and Steph started speaking " so I see you and Dayl couldn't keep your eyes off eachother? whatever you do don't tell Josh that you like Dayl!" I laughed before answering " I just think hes cute and why couldn't I tell Josh?" she looked really guilty but soon replied " he likes you a lot!" I was really surprised and didn't want to believe it but I just shook my head and laughed. we took the drinks in and the lads were singing wanted. I really love that song, Josh sings it all the time. while they were singing it Dayl was looking straight at me the whole time and I think I blushed a lot but I have to remember what Steph told in the kitchen about Josh. I did kinda liked him when we were younger but I soon got over it because I knew he wouldn't of liked me in that way. time went by really fast and it was soon time for us to go. I went around all of the lads and hugged them and Dayl may or may not have given me his number, it was fine I don't want anything more than a friendship because I didn't want mine and Josh's relationship ruined. I got over to Steph and we swapped numbers and while we were hugging she whispered "remember what I said in the kitchen" I nodded and me and Josh walked out and got into the car. We got home after a relaxing car journey consisting of talking and joking about with Josh and because it was really late I decided I would go to bed. So I hugged Josh goodnight and went up to my bedroom to get changed. After completing my night routine I climbed into bed and my phone buzzed, it was a text from Dayl:

Hey Emily I just wanted to tell you it was amazing meeting you today and I was wondering if you would like to go for a coffee tomorrow? Dayl x

I replied back almost instantly.
Hey Dayl it was as amazing meeting you aswell and of course I would like to go for a coffee tomorrow! Emily x
D:
That's grand let's say I pick you up at 1? Dayl x

And with that I turned my light off and just about to go to sleep when I hear a knock on my bedroom door. It was Josh telling me that we are meeting up with the boys tomorrow but I was going  out with Dayl and I can't tell Josh that because of what Steph said in the kitchen at Cian's today! I didn't know what to do so I just smiled and nodded and Josh left the room. I'm just gonna have to keep me and Dayl a secret. Not that there was anything between us? Is there? No there isn't I'm just going out for a drink with Dayl and we are going as friends, nothing more and nothing less... I hope

Sorry it's been so long guys I've just been really really busy revising for tests and crap like that but hopefully there will be more faster updates from now on so please don't stop reading!!
