Annie's POV
Ugh. Why does Brennan have to be SO CUTE? I'm always staring and everyone in the school knows I like him.. Well, everyone except for him. I'm surprised he hasn't noticed me drooling when he looks at me with those beautiful brown eyes. But he would never like me... He just thinks of me like a sister, nothing more... I started liking him this year. I'm 11 and he is 13. It is 2 years gap between our ages, but age is just a number. Besides it won't matter after high school. After high school we can get married and have kids... it'll be the perfect life... my life is already pretty great though. I have my two best friends, brennan♥️, my little sister, and my awesome brother Caleb. I love my siblings so much, but Caleb looked kinda weird this morning... He's probably just sick. As I walked to my last class of the day I was excited, because I had gymnastics tonight and it was one of my later nights, practice went from 3-8pm on Thursdays. I want to practice my yurchenko today on vault.

Finally school is over and now I'm going home to change then go to gym. I have to change super fast though cause we had a fire drill and got out of school late. I changed into a green leo and put on grey Nike pros. I brushed my hair but decided to do my hair in the car, because we were running late. I grabbed my gym bag and phone and ran out to the car, where mommy was waiting. "What took so long?" "I didn't know what Leo I wanted to wear today" I said, shrugging my shoulders. Mommy started driving and I was singing to the song, "Closer" by the Chainsmokers.
We finally got to the gym and I was 1 minute early, which is surprising. I walked in and started stretching, then started on bars...
7:10pm (still at gym)
I just did a yurchenko on vault and Coach Mary said it was one of my best ones! As she was giving me advice she got a phone call on the gym phone. She went to answer and came back a minute later crying. "What's wrong?" I asked, getting nervous. "Annie, I need to bring you to the hospital..." She said with shaky breath. "Why!? What happened? Are my parents ok?" I was really scared now. "No, it's not your parents, it's Caleb... he was pronounced dead 2 minutes ago. I'm so sorry Annie, but I need to take you to the hospital so you can say your final goodbye..." I was so in shock I didn't have any emotion, then it hit me. My brother. My ONLY brother, was gone... When that thought came in my mind, I lost it and started crying hysterically. I just can't believe he's gone...

Okay so I know this isn't great but bear with me... It will get better throughout the story...
