Kendall POV
That night I came to the realization that Cara had barely any food in her house except the several bottles of alcohol I hound stashed in various places.
I shook my head and went to a near by market around the corner. I picked up a few things that would suffice for the week or two I'd be there and got back in time to prepare for dinner.
After I cooked Cara came home later after a day of going out somewhere and ate. She thanked me, a lot, kicked her shoes off and laid down on her living room couch.

Cara POVI flipped though some channels and kept on one that I was only half listening to.
"Ken, just leave the dishes, it's fine. I'll clean after, just rest for a bit. You've been up all day anyways."
She came over and leaned over beside me. I looked at her surprised but relaxed after awhile. I could see she was trying hard to pay attention but her eyelids soon enough got to heavy for her to resist and she fell asleep, her head rested on my shoulder.
My hand brushed over the top of her hand. I thought deeply to myself for a moment about how she was a couple days ago. She's straight, and this is what straight girls do with other straight girls.
I know this by past experience. I shouldn't feel led on after I know what I know. When I was kid, this is what my friends would do while watching a scary movie or whatever. It's nothing to them, being this close to one another is just an everyday thing.
You want to go to class together? They hold hands. You want change clothes before you go somewhere? You change in front of each other. You want to exchange crushes?...That was always a hard subject for me, I never told but in fact, I'd make someone up or lie most of time. Although, needless to say, I took advantage of her presence anyways and wrapped my arm around her shoulders.
After awhile of laying there together I got up carefully, as Kendall was still sleeping, and cleaned up after dinner.
"Ken." I poked her
she grunted.
"Time to go..."
"Where?" she asked barely audible
"to bed."
"Oh...shit, what time is it?"
"it's ten," I laughed, "I'm going to stay up for a little while longer but you need to sleep."
"Mhhhm..." her eyes drifted back to sleep again but fluttered back open, "okay, help me up."
She help out her arm and I grabbed it to hoist her up as we headed down the hallway to the bedroom. I sat at the foot of the bed, after she climbed under the blankets, for a minute and awkwardly left the room.
Quietly I put on my coat and drove away from my house, far away from my house.
