~Broken~
The warmth embraced the towering, sturdy figure as he walked into the apartment, the wooden flooring creaking with each step he took. A stunning presence stood in front of him, his face is plastered with a big smile. A lady wearing a red long dress is carrying a glass of milk.
“Lucy, why are you dressed like this?” He said, still smiling brightly.
Without an answer, the lady put her free hand on her hip. She stared at him intensely before her body started to crack like a vulnerable vase coming in contact with a hammer. His smile disappeared as his eyes widen with shocked written all over his attractive face. The wood creaked louder as he ran towards Lucy, hands swung open to grab her from danger.
The door flung open and the wind gushed in carried the remaining pile of dust left all over the floor. He collapsed onto his knees, hiding his face in his hands. He knew that he broke her.
A soft feminine whisper echoed throughout the empty apartment.
“Darren, it’s your fault. It is because of you that I am like this. You broke me, not only my heart but my whole life.” This time, he started to sob. His stupid mistake landed in killing his dearest girlfriend. His girlfriend… the girl that always supported him… the girl that always cared for him… the girl that always warm up a cup of milk for him after his work… the girl that gave a fake smile and pretend nothing happen when he finally came home late at night drunk on their anniversary date… the girl that saw him kissing another girl on the street… the girl that is broken on the inside and on the outside…
She left a cup of warm milk with a note beside it before jumping off the window and crashing into the hard, solid ground.
‘It is your fault that I’m broken. I will not hurt you… but you will see me breaking every single day… every single day… I’ll be back. Love, Lucy’
