"These look great just like you, beautiful," Wally said, surveying Megan's freshly cooked cupcakes.
Artemis rolled her eyes and elbowed Wally. "Grow up, would you?"
"Thank you, Wally," Megan laughed. "Hey, has anyone seen Connor?"
"I think he's in his room, Miss M," Dick said, snatching up a muffin.
"Could you go get him?" Megan said. "He said he needed help with homework and I have to go to cheer practice soon. I just want to make sure he gets it done for tomorrow."
"I'll go get him," Dick said, adjusting his sunglasses.
Dick hopped off his stool and brought his muffin along into the hall. He munched on it until he arrived at Connor's room.
"Hey, Conn-" Dick started.
The door was ajar which was highly unusual for Connor, who enjoyed his privacy.
Dick melded himself to the wall and glanced inside. Inside the room, Connor laid unconscious beside his bed. He whipped out his tool belt and strapped it around one shoulder and waist.
Dick inched into the room as quietly as possible. He did a once over of the room, but determined that whoever had been there had left. Dick squatted down and checked Connor's vitals. His heartbeat was irregular, but still beating. A dart on his arm caught Dick's attention. Dick pulled it out and looked over the dart. It was purple and smaller than usual. The toxin was not fatal, but it was not strong enough to seduce a Kryptonian. Then, Dick noticed the Kryptonite dust laced on the dart. Someone was smart and had not stolen anything. More than likely the intruder was still here.
Connor was going to be alright once Dick removed the Kryptonite from Connor's system, but there was no time. Dick had to warn the others. Dick shook his head and left Connor behind unwillingly. Dick couldn't do anything for him right now.
Dick sprinted down the halls and burst into the kitchen. He found the rest of the team sprawled across the floor. Though, Wally was missing. Dick rushed to Megan and found that she was burning up, yet there was no fire. Whoever was here was highly trained. He had a suspicion on who this was.
A laugh echoed through the room with no source. This last giveaway gave Dick the confirmation he needed to who was behind all of this: Susurringly.
"I know you're here, Rachel," Dick yelled. "What do you want?"
"Took you long enough," Rachel jumped down from the air vent.
Rachel was clad in full glory of a tight purple and black suit. Black hair dangled down her back loosely and blue eyes peaked out, even though her face was covered with a purple mask that allowed a smile to shine through easily. In her right hand, Rachel sported two throwing knifes which she twirled with ease.
"Answer the question," Dick snapped.
"No friendly exchanges?" Rachel raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you miss me, Richie?"
"Miss you? Are you kidding? Last time we saw each other, you tried to kill me," Dick said through gritted teeth.
"I didn't do it, though," Rachel frowned. "I-"
Wally interrupted Rachel by bursting through the door and hitting Rachel which nearly knocked Rachel to the ground.
"Another intruder?" Wally said, annoyed. "I thought Red Tornado's cousins were the last of you guys."
Rachel leaped into action and flung a knife at Wally. Wally easily dodged the knife and laughed.
"Is that all you-?" Wally said.
