On the far end of the lake, there stood a hooded figure. The lake was at least 150 metres wide. It was a dark night. The moon was hidden behind the clouds and there were no stars visible. As the clouds moved, the figure moved slowly towards the lake. The moon was fully visible in the sky. It's bright refection clear in the still water. Pointing a finger to the moon, the figure bent down towards the water. He removed a skull from his cloak. He filled it with water. Removing a small bag, he mixed the contents in the skull. The water turned red. It was blood. He drank the blood. On the other side of the lake he saw the 'Elite' standing tall in the night sky. The window of the room of the young girl was open. There stood a man. He was standing with his right hand raised high above and left hand touching his right forearm forming a 'C' curve above his head.
Letter 'b' was clearly seen."The signal is reached"
The hooded figure smiled.
"The master will be pleased with you", he said to himself. He turned away towards the forest.
"Stage one is complete master."In the room, as the man moved away from the window, he could hear footsteps coming towards the room. His mind wanted to panic but his heart was calm. The little girl was unconscious on the bed, safely tucked under the blankets. But still he had no possible reason to be there. He tried to listen to the voices. It was Mrs. Smith talking to someone.
"I am so worried about Em. She hasn't spoken or eaten much since she first discovered her dead father", said Mrs. Smith weeping.
"But you said it was the Butler who found him!", shrieked Mrs. Whitney.
"I had to lie! I couldn't let my poor girl get interrogated by the policemen!"
"Oh. Well let her sleep now. We'll get something for you to eat.", Mrs Whitney led Mrs. Smith towards the kitchen.
As the voices faded away, the man swiftly got out of the room and disappeared in the shadows.
