Paradise

Chapter 4

Bella's POV

I looked at the clock as I was settling in and unpacking and realized it was almost nine. Not thirty seconds later I heard Rebecca calling my name to come down for breakfast. It wasn't until then that I realized I was hungry. I came downstairs as fast as I could without running. The smell of chocolate pancakes filled the air. Rebecca had always been an amazing cook. Knowing her, she probably made these from scratch in about twenty minutes.

I sat down at the table with everyone else and finally got to take a good look at Matt and Ryan. Matt looked just the same as I remembered him. Messy blonde hair, a slightly muscular build but not too noticeable, and bright blue eyes. He had never been one of those guys that get a lot of acne or anything. He had pretty much always been fairly good looking.

Ryan on the other hand.... He had the same blue eyes as Matt but he had brown hair. Last I remember of him he had a similar build as Matt but he got the occasional breakout of pimples. He also like to gel his hair down. Now, he had a perfectly clear face, his haired swooped upwards and maybe more muscles than Matt.

After a minute, I realised they were both staring at me as well. I looked over at Jakey who was very busy zooming his pancakes into his mouth like a rocketship. He was so cute! I looked down at my food and started taking small bites. It was so good and I wanted to savor it. I looked up at Matt and Ryan who had devoured theirs and were getting up for seconds. I decided to pick up the pace a little so I didn't seem like one of those girls that take two hours to eat a cracker.

After we were finished, my mom and Rebecca took Jakey to watch a movie or something. All the sudden Matt stood up and said "Let's do something!"

"Um ok... What?" I tried not to laugh.

"It's a surprise." He gave me a mischevious smile.

"Fine" I smiled back.

"Hey Ryan, you're coming too."

"I figured" Ryan smiled as he grabbed his keys. "Let's go."

I looked at Ryan. "Do you know where we're going?"

"Yep!" He gave me the same smile Matt had given me a minute ago.

I shook my head and smiled as we walked outside. Ryan was driving and Matt let me sit shotgun. I'll have to admit, I was a little nervous, but I was mostly excited.
