It's night time. It's raining with sounds of drummer in the night sky. Light flashes on and off as it continues to rain.

Deep in the ally.

There's a few dumpsters line up against the the old brick wall. A woman, supposedly a younge adult about 20, runs to take shelter from the rain. A man in a black hoodie siletnly follows her with a knife in his hand. She can't hear him from all the thunder an rain. The man, so skinny and pale, yet, tough enough to kill. He walks up to the woman and suddenly wraps his arm around her neck with the knife in his hand, his free hand is holding her hand behind her back. He whispers something in her ear. "Scream, and I'll make sure that'll be the last thing you'll ever do." Her eyes widen with fear, wishing she can do something, but she can't, she's paralyzed with fear. How could she do something? If she made a move, it could end her for good.

A sudden sound of thunder and lightning struck. And there, there he was, a mysterious man, standing there, looking down at the man holding the woman. He had a black mask that covered most of his face except the eyes, with a black shinobi shozoku. He had shurikens across his chest and kusarigama hanging from his lower back. The man looked up at the mysterious man, confused. Another sound of thunder and lightning struck amd he was gone. The man went back to his business to the woman. The woman started to scream. "I thought I told you not scream!" He said angrily. Just before he could dig the knife into the woman's neck, the mysterious man kicked the knife out of his hand, pulled the woman out of the man's grip and pushed her away from them. The woman could only see the mysterious man's eyes, which were telling her to run. She wasn't just scared of the man who tried to kill her, but she was also scared of the man who saved her.

There are a group of people like that mysterious man, watching over citizens amongst to night. And people don't even know about them. They are the ones that people fear the most because they don't know what they are. "They" are called "The Shadow Knights" shadows of the night.

Sixteen years have passed

Sixteen years ago a woman was snatched in an ally by a man threatening to kill her. She believes the mysterious man that saved her, is good, but others--not so much. They see him as a threat. They want it to stop. They don't know if there are more like him. Police officers are patrolling the town every night, which makes it alot harder for the Shadow Knights, but they still find their way around the police without getting caught.
The woman tells her daughter what had happened to her. She told her not to fear them like she was. She wanted her daughter to know that the guy that saved her is not the bad guy. She told her that one day, the world will know that there might be people like him and that they are the protectors to the citizens, their sheild.
