«Joey's front yard, 2:46pm»
•~•~•~•~•
Joey sat on his front steps with his partner and fellow friend, Wolf.
He fed the friendly husky with bits of bread and ham from his baguette.
"You like that Wolfie, you like that?"
"JOSEPH MICHAEL STOP TALKING IN THAT VOICE RIGHT THIS INSTANT!" Joey's dad called from inside the house.
His dad hated the fact that he sounded feminine when he spoke and always told him to be manly.
Joey didn't want to be manly.

«Daniel's front yard, 2:46pm»
"JOSEPH MICHAEL YOU STOP TALKING IN THAT VOICE THIS INSTANT"
Oh god, not another abusive family.
Daniel sat on his front step, cutting an apple with a pocketknife and observing the world around him.
Until he heard the man yelling.
He popped up over the fence, sitting on the flat edge of it.
"Hi there!" He says gleefully.
"Hey" The boy doesn't look up, though somehow he knows where Daniel was sitting.
"Who was that yelling?"
"My dad, he's uhh"
Daniel looks concerned.
"Does he hurt you?"
"No! No no no, he doesn't he just... Well... Isn't very accepting.
"So you're gay?"
"Yeah I-I guess"
Daniel smirks at nothing in particular.
So he's gay, well lucky for him... I'm gay too
"Lucky for you, I am too"
Joey looks up, hopeful.

«Daniel's front yard 6:24pm»
"Well bye! I'll see you tomorrow Joey!" Daniel calls, still sitting on the fence.
"Bye Dan! I'll hopefully see you tomorrow after I've finished schooling"
Daniel looks appalled.
"You still go to school?"
"Yeah, i graduate this year so I kind of have to"
"Oh, I graduated last year"
I thought he was older than that
"Well bye now!"
"Bye"
Joey walks through the sliding glass door that leads into the kitchen from his patio.
Daniel stayed on the fence, watching the sunset fade into darkness...
