She had walked out of my room again, making the floor boards creek and squeak all night. I kept asking mom if i could wake her up, but she always said to never wake a sleep walker. Mom said that they will have some kind of panic attack, but it was really starting to annoy me. I regret my decision now, but I guess I should start from the beginning.
It all started when dad decided to visit us with some weird presents he found at an old store near the mall. He bursted in with gift bags and open arms. Lil ran right for him will Lizzy and I sat on the couch. "Hi girls" he said as he looked at Lizzy and I. We both waved at him and kept watching the TV. "I brought presents" he said as he ran into the kitchen chasing Lilith through the hall. He put the presents on the table and told Lil to go with mom. "Hi Nancy, hi Elizabeth" dad said as he plopped down on the couch next to us. Liz immediately made an excuse to get up and go upstairs, but I was stuck with dad. "Guess it's just you and me bud" he said as he moved closer and gave me a hug. I pushed him away as fast and as hard as I could. Since he and mom divorced things were weird between us. He got up and grabbed the presents and mom called Liz, Lil, and I down. "First down we've got little Lilly-pad." Dad said as Lilith ran towards him. He swiped her up an plopped her on the table. "Here you go Lilly-pad" he said as he handed her an old rag doll. She smiled and practically jumped off of the table, but before Lilith could fall off the table dad picked her up and set her on the ground. "Now Bethy" dad said waving Liz over. She rolled her eyes. "Don't call me Bethy" she said coldly. Dad gave her the gift bag and she snatched it from him and opened it. She pulled out a long vintage dress from the black bag. "Thanks Mason." She said as she stared at the dress. She walked upstairs and slammed the door. "Nancy bear. This is yours." Dad said holding up a music box. I smiled then went upstairs. A few days later I saw Lizzy walk to the bonfire in the backyard. "What are you doing?" I asked her. "I'm burning dads present" she said as she tossed the old dress in the fire. "I'll join you" I said not regretting the decision. I tossed my music box in the fire and watched as it melted and the bells and strings chimed and popped inside. As I walked to my room I passed Lilith playing with her new rag doll. Something about the doll gave me a bad feeling. Maybe it was the twisted blood red yarn used as hair or the large glass eyes, but I didn't know. The next day I woke up to the sound of high pitched screaming. It was coming from Lilith's room. I ran to see what was wrong. "Annie yelled at me! She said she was going to hurt me! She said she will KILL me!" Lilith yelled as she through the doll across the room. "What are you talking about?" I asked. She started crying "Annie's mad at me!" I stared at the doll, then picked it up and through it in Lilith's toy box. For the next few night Lilith cried about the doll and how it would kill her. The worst part was that now Lizzy was complaining that she wouldn't stop sleep walking. Of course that was when mom told us that we were not to wake her up when she walks. One night Lizzy couldn't take it anymore. She threatened that if Lilith wasn't removed from her room she would wake her from her sleep walk. So mom moved her to my room. The first few nights were fine, but then she woke up in the night screaming about the doll. Then the sleep waking started again. She walk around the house making the floor creak. She would talk to the doll and tell her to leave her alone. One day I couldn't stand it anymore. I woke her up while she stood at the stairs. No warnings, no threats, I just woke her up. She stopped and screamed then walking into my room again. I stood there for a moment then went to my room. It was trashed, but Lilith was sleeping. I went to bed and slept. When I woke up Lilith was playing with the doll again. She seemed like she was having fun until I saw her face. She looked terrified, then I remembered the look she gave me when I woke her up. It was the same look. That night I woke up again, but it wasn't from a scream. It was a sudden change in temperature in my room. I was suddenly freezing. When I opened my eyes my sister was standing on the foot of my bed. She was holding the doll by the hand and she was whispering something. "You woke me up." I heard her say. She then collapsed on the floor and slept soundly, but I was too scared to sleep. It happened every night at the same time with warnings like "I'm gonna get ya" or "I'm coming for you." I was terrified to sleep. One night I found her at the stairs again. She turned back at me and mouthed the words she's behind me. I looked down the stairs and saw the doll. The little red dress she was wearing was ripped up and one of the small shoes was missing. For a second I swore I saw the doll wink and smile. I ran towards it and started a bonfire. I threw the doll in and watched the fabric turn to ash. Everything went back to normal. Except for the week after when my Lizzy told me I was sleep walking and talking about some creepy little girl. I had become a sleep walker.
