Chapter 1: NO WAY!!

Hi my name is Hazel Brown. I'm 12 years old and I have brown eyes with black hair. I live on Creek wood st. My mom, Jane Brown will literally treat you like a queen or a king. Even if you aren't her child, she will. But when she does that to me, I'm not greedy. But my dad on the other hand, is lazy. But I don't mind.

Today was Christmas morning. I was excited. " Don't open presents yet. OK?" Said my mom. She turned on the Christmas music with a jolly attitude. Dad rolled his eyes. With a sarcastic voice I sang with the family to the Christmas music.

I heard my dad say " Uncle Steve is coming this afternoon so be on your best behavior!" Mom and I looked at each other in horror. We didn't want to think of those horrible moments again.

Chapter 2: Not him again!

4 years ago, we went to Uncle Steve's house. At that time I didn't know him. We were going to have a surprise visit. Dad was on a business trip. But that day our plane was late. So, we got to his house around 10 p.m. When we got there, he was on the couch eating popcorn. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. While I was gone I heard a scream. I rushed out of the bathroom to see what was happening. My uncle was abusing my mom. I wanted to help my mom but I knew he was going to do the same to me. My mom kicked uncle Steve and grabbed my hand. We ran out of the door but before I got out of the door he held on to my foot and pulled himself up.He slapped me a couple of times. My mom pulled me harder and I went out the door. The first 5 minutes of seeing my uncle for the 1st time was a nightmare! My mom was abused and I were abused. That's pretty messed up.

We didn't tell dad because he's overly protective. Like if somebody called me stupid, he would call the principal. They embarrass me a lot. And if this happened, he would call the police which would everybody would do. But, we were so terrified that if we put Uncle Steve in jail and when he got out, he would hunt us down. So that's why we didn't tell dad.
