Chapter 1

(Third person POV)

"Hey Megan, hand me the AUX cord," Ari places her hand into the front of the car waiting for Megan to hand it over.

"Ughh, fine here. But don't play anything lame," Megan says.

"I won't," Ari Laughs, and hits shuffle on her playlist. Music plays softly in the background as they continue talking.

"Where are we going anyway?" Danny asks.

"Look for a gas station," Luke responds. They drive around aimlessly for a few more minutes. Until they finally see the bright lights of a 7 Eleven.

"Look there's one," Ari leans forward and points to the building. Luke pulls the car into a spot to fill his tank. They all see a sketchy group of men on the other side of the lot. The guys all stare over to them. Leaving all of them with an eerie feeling.

"Well that was weird, but I'm gonna go buy some beer anyone else coming?" Megan says breaking the silence.

"How are you going to buy beer Megs?" Danny asks.

"I have a fake duh," she laughs while holding up her "id".

"Well I need to use the bathroom, so I guess I'll come with you." Ari says while getting out the car. Megan just struts inside while Ari slowly follows making eye contact with a few of the guys, but quickly looks away and hurry's inside. The restroom sign was over in the corner of the store, so Ari walks in there. She approaches the mirror and pulls out her makeup bag. She touches up her eyeliner and some powder, then walks out to see Megan at the register buying the beer. "Hurry those guys are freaking me out," Ari tugs on Megan's arm.

"Calm down, I got this" Megan smirks as they walk out. Ari tries to stay walk along next to Megan, but falls behind slightly. "Hi guys," Megan says while she walks past them bitting her lip. Then everything got weird and more aggressive. Ari jogged back to the car to get there faster, then hops in. Everyone else gets in and Luke starts driving.

"Well that was awkward," Danny laughs. They pull back onto the road and drive until they reach a bridge. "Hey look we should stop up there," he says and points to the underpass of the bridge. The car stops about half way into the underpass. It was dark, but there was just enough light from some orange lamps on the two entrances. They all get out of the car, then Megan and Luke sit on the hood. While Ari and Danny stand around the front side. They sit there and drink beers for a couple minutes just talking and laughing. Then headlights shine down from one entrance of the underpass.

"What the hell is that?" Megan says while jumping off the hood and looking down towards the lights. The car engine started to rev up then started driving getting faster and faster coming towards them.

"Get in the car!" Ari yells, "Get in!" They all pile into the car as fast as possible, while Luke starts the car. They begin to drive, but the other car is almost caught up to their car. The car rocks as they get tapped a couple of times, then the other car backs off slightly. "Look out!" Ari screams and points the the man standing in the way of the exit. Luke slams on the breaks and the car swerves around in circles then abruptly stops.

"Is everyone okay?" Luke asks and looks around as everyone nods. The other car starts to drive towards them again.

"What do we do? What do we do!" Megan screams, and everyone starts yelling. "Start the fucking car Luke!" she yells.

"It won't start!" he yells back. The other car rams into the side of theirs, the whole car rocks. The other car reverses back and stops. Ari opened her door and ran around to the other side of the car.

"Everyone get out!" Ari yells while opening the doors. The men get out of the other car and start walking towards them. "Run!" she screams, and they all take off running. They reach the exit of the underpass and look around.

"This way," Luke says and grabs Ari's arm dragging her with him.

"No guys! This way!" Megan screams and drags Danny with her.

"This is so stupid we shouldn't split up!" Danny yells while still sprinting away.
