when she wake up in the morning, she was nice refreshed ; the call that threw her out of the bed at night didn't even cross her mind. she got out of bed and looked at the clock ; it was eight thirty and her first course would start at eleven. she was delighted about that ; even though she always got up early, that way now she had time for a healthy breakfast and a morning workout routine along with running. she quickly got dressed and put the earphones in, finding some motivational songs and went right out of the apartment, locking behind her. she didn't explore the town that much before, but she knew a path through the park that she discovered a month ago when she came to new york to visit the college, and look through apartments and everything so she'd be ready when she started living here. the path was narrow and wide and nice for running. she started with that a couple years ago ; when she was younger, she was a bit chubby, a bit over weighted. and when she turned fourteen, she decided to lose weight. slowly, she started excercising, running and living a healthy life that she learned to adore and cherish. plus, morning runs revieved her. she loved the view, the pleasure of her legs moving past different paths, through the woods or parks.

she got back to the apartment after that twenty minute run and took a shower, then went to make herself some breakfast. she just stepped out of her bathroom when the door swinged by themselves and shut open. she remained in her place slightly scared and a bit suprised, but knocked it off. she went for this apartment because there were no souls to be seen or felt at the first time, so there was no way that someone – or somebody – could've been here. at least she hoped. maybe it was just the wind. she shrugged it off ; yes, there were a lot of souls wandering around new york. loads of them. but not here. this place was clean. at least that's what she thought...

it was quarter past ten when she started getting ready for the first day of college ; she got dressed in her favorite clothes, packed some notebooks and put on some makeup, just as usual. her and alicia already had a deal that they would go to college together ; as much as flo knew the girl, they were bothing living a healthy life. and the blonde already decided she'd take a bike to school every day that the weather was nice ; and alicia was similar. so, why not go together ? they'll chat, talk about random stuff, and just share. an experience, maybe memories... who knows.

florence went downstairs to meet up with alicia soon after getting ready ; the black haired girl was already waiting for her. » oh, hi, « she laughed at her with her pretty britain accent. » hi, « florence was used to being surrounded with people ; she actually adored it. to talk, chat, even gossip sometimes. it felt nice, it felt normal. which she really wasn't... » so, are you excited for school ? « alicia seemed really nice and talkative. » yeah, of course. a bit scared, too, « flo confessed ; well, but who wouldn't be scared. she definetly was. » you're not the only one. but calm down, it'll be okay, « alicia winked at her while they were walking down the stairs.

they continued chatting all the way to college which was like twenty minutes away. when they arrived, they went into the auditorium where the course was being held. they sat together and both pulled out their laptops ; macs, of course. flo pulled her notebook and a sketchbook out of her backpack, too ; it was the number sixthy-four. already, she thought. she always focused easier while sketching, and she needed a place to write her small poems in. she always got ideas at the most unusual times ; in class, or when she was on the bus, or when walking down the street. she looked around the huge auditorium ; there were already a lot of people here, even though it was five to eleven. the lecture should start in about five minutes, and there were so much people, and more were still coming in. they were all different ; she noticed a lot of groups were forming, of girls and boys, all with similar interests. or maybe they were friends, or maybe coming from the same country... flo always found it interesting. people were interesting. the way they talked, walked, the way they acted in numerous situations. she loved watching, observing. that's where most of her ideas came from.
