---Aphmau's Pov---

After Laurence told me what happened we went and got Y/N. "I-I think i know who th-that was." She says sadly.

I nod my head. "We need to know if he ever returns." Laurence says with concern filling the room.

I look at Y/N with her F/C sword in her shaky hand. She looks at me like she's about to cry. "H-H-He is not c-coming back."

I shake my head. "He may." As soon as i finish speaking she runs out of my house. Laurence immediately chasing after her.

"She feels the same for him, that you do for Laurence." I turn to see Zoey there and i sigh. "I might've hit a touchy subject huh?"

She nods her head silently. "Aphmau? Maybe we should kick her out of the village." I look at her confused.

"During the time she has been here, she made Zane come, and someone threatened the people here on her behalf." I nod my head slowly.

"Where would she go Zoey? We can't just abandon somebody." She nods. "I guess so." I walk out of the house to see the man in the cloak facing towards me.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" I yell.

"Promise me you will protect her. I don't care what you do to me but just keep her safe. So, so many people want to kill her. I have made the mistake to let her go and i need anyone to promise me." He pauses and looks down as water droplets fall from under the mask.

"So, Lord Aphmau, will you protect her?" I nod, speechless. "I-I love her with all of my heart. Don't let Zane get to her. Please." Then he runs away as i just stand there.

Zoey puts her hand on my shoulder. "We need to do this Aphmau. Clearly he loves her."

I nod. "Y/N doesn't know that he was back, and i don't think we should tell her Zoey." I start to walk down the hill towards Y/N's house.

I see Laurence sitting outside the door. "Laurence what's wrong?" He shakes his head.

"She doesn't believe you Aphmau." I nod my head slowly.

The door then opens with Y/N in her armor. "I'm going to go guard." She walks through the street and i block her way.

"You don't have to guard." She stops.

"Imagine having your best friend leave you after only coming back for one day, then having him threaten people to take care of you. I can take care of myself." She then continues to walk past me towards the gate.

"He loves her, but left her. The nerve of this guy! If i ever see him again I'll be the last thing HE will see!" Laurence says, as he chases after Y/N.

"....Does Laurence have a crush?" I say to myself, as i smirk.

---Y/N's Pov---

I stand at the entrance of the gate thinking. If he loved me, why did he leave me?! It seems like everyone i thought of as close leaves me.

"I'm sorry we brought up bad memories." I jump and look where the voice was to see Laurence. "Y-You scared me."

He chuckles. "Sorry." I sit on the ground and he takes off my helmet and i look up at him.

"Keep your helmet off. Your beautiful." I blush and he smiles. I then look at my sword. "Why would somebody want me to have this sword in particular Laurence?"

He shrugs and sits down next to me. "I don't know Y/N... I wish i did." I put my head on his shoulder.

"Do you think if i get close to the people in this village they would leave me?" I ask, concern filling me.

He wraps an arm around me. "I won't, and i don't think anyone here will either." I nod.

"O-Okay..." I stand up. "So you wanted to hang out at the docks right?" I smile.

"Yeah. Let me change out of this clunky armor set and we can do just that." He quickly stood up and walked off.

He is very caring towards me. I haven't even done anything to deserve it. I start to walk towards my house and i open the door.

I place my helmet and armor on the table and i walk out, leaving my H/C hair down. I walk towards the docks and i take off my combat boots. I put my feet in the water and smile.

It reminded me of a time in my life where everything was so simple and so easy. The hardest choice i had to make back then was when Garroth asked me what flavored jam i wanted on my bread. I chuckle and kick my feet splashing water.

I was so focused that i didn't even realise Laurence was there until he sat down next to me. "I want to know more about you Y/N."

I shrug. "There's not much to know really." He splashed water on my legs and i giggled. "When did you meet Garroth?"

I started to think for a second and i responded. "When Zane killed my parents. That's when he found me crying and we became best friends."

He laughed. "That seems like Garroth. I'm just confused why he left you." I sigh. "Because he left me. Most people i start to care for leave me."

I take a deep breath in. "That's why i'm scared to let anybody in. To get anymore friends." I put my head on his shoulder.

"I promise not to leave you Y/N. I swear on it."

Wow three chapters in one day. I'm feelin pretty accomplished. Actually i have a stomach ache. *Opens Hershey Bar* Don't judge me!
