Chapter One

Arabella's P.O.V

My feet cooled as they pressed against the hardwood floor. It didn't bother me though, I always loved the cold, even if it was just my bare feet getting cold due to the stairs. Memories flooded my head as I met the lightly furnished room. Tears sprung in my eyes as I remembered the first time we played in the basement.

"Whoa! Bell this place is so cool!" "I know Ash, look there's even a fridge!" "Bell this is our place, okay?" He continued to speak. "Whenever we want to come down here to play, or cry, or just talk, we can. This is OUR basement, not anyone else's."

Tears were now freely spilling down my cheeks. Our basement. It was ours and he took that for granted. It wasn't his place to bring a girl down to. That was a rule. A rule he broke, along with my heart.

"Okay Bella, were 12 now, time to lay down some rules." I giggled at his seriousness. "Rule one, you cannot tell ANYONE about our basement. Rule two, do not bring anyone down here, even if you've been married to the person for ten years. That goes for the both of us." He smiled at me, his dimples like craters in his cheeks. That's when I knew I was in love.

Even though that was four years ago, I remember those words so clearly. He broke both of those rules. He hurt me so much, and even though he made me feel so upset, I still love him.
