(8)If only someone could unbreak my heart
Come relieve my pain
Somehow I could wish upon a star
and make all of the memories go away (8)
I was singing amnesia by Cherish when abruptly my mum barged through the door
“How many times have I told you not to sing your stupid songs in my house? Huh?! Do you even know what you sound like?!... you sound like a shrieking hyena KMT!” she bellowed whilst waving her wooden spoon hysterically
“Well that’s where you wrong because I know that I sound like Jennifer Hudson and one day I will definitely become like her.”I said without thinking
“Are you talking to me like that?” *Slap*
“when did you grow wings to fly to talk to me like that?” *Punch*
she kept swinging for me like a starved monkey.
I howled in pain when my head made sweet connection with her wooden spoon. The force was so much that the spoon cracked in half.
(A/N – by the way the wooden spoon illustration is actually true, it happened to my cousin LOOOL)
she laughed hysterically at that but I was busy bawling like a baby. Just then my dad walked in and stared at my mum in disgust. My mum turned around to face him
“Get out of here NOW before I slap you up aswell! KMT” she shouted
“Why do you always do this Doyinsola heh? Why don’t you just tell her truth because the time is coming when God will strike you down and you will be forced to confess KMT” he replied and stormed out
….
“Now Shareece, I do not want to hear you singing in this house again. Do do you hear me?!” she shouted at me in annoyance
“Yes mum” I mumbled
Before she left she grabbed my ipod, beat headphones and lyrics. Then she slammed the door shut.
I slumped down on the floor and cried, I asked myself a million questions.
What did I ever do to her, that she hates me so much?
What did my dad mean by ‘tell her truth’?
Why does she have always find a way to make me feel worthless? *sigh*
I got up, wiped my tear stained face and went to bed. I just couldn’t be bothered to face my mum.
