Part2
3 weeks later
Miss Sophie had picked me up at 6:30 this morning and drove me to the airport. She gave me her mobile number just in case they found anything about my mother. 2 weeks ago I filed a missing persons report for my mother. I know she beets me and isn’t very kind but she’s all I’ve got.
I was now in my seat. I was hoping that I didn’t have to sit next to anyone but with my luck I had to sit next to a whiney 6 year old.
The flight felt longer than it should have been. That girl, I was going to strangle her she would not shut up.
By the time the flight was over I was so frustrated I could just... just punch something. I don’t get angry very often but that little girl. I was beyond angry.
As I travelled down the tunnel the lights above my head started to flicker, my eyes were twitching in time with the flickering. I felt as though I was going to burst.
I picked up my luggage and headed out to the main foyer. I caught eye of a girl around my age waving a sign readingWelcome to America Audrey-May
I walked towards the sign and the girl enveloped me in a hug. Just as a habit it whimpered.
“Sorry, I’m Kallie,” she said holding out her hand. I took it and we walked to the car.
The car trip was in a comfortable silence. We turned off to a long and windy road.
“We’re almost there,” said Kallie excitedly as we past what looked like an invisible barrier then all of a sudden we were driving up a short drive way that led up to a mansion, no wait it was like a mansion/hotel, a mansotle, ha.
“You know having your mouth open like that you’ll catch flies,” said Kallie we pulled up out the front of the mansiotle.
We walked in the front door in to a lounge room twice the size of my house.
“I’ll show your room,” said a soft velvet voice that my ears long to hear again.
I turned around to come face to face with the yellow eyed beauty whose name I longed to know.
“Grayson,” he said holding out his hand, which I took.
“Audrey-May this is our Alpha, Grayson,” Said Kallie.
Alpha? What does she mean Grayson is an alpha he doesn’t look like a Greek letter. I just gave Kallie a strange look.
“Wait you’re not a wolf? I mean you smell like one, Wait...,” she rambled on. I gave her another questioning look.
“Oh no,” she said hitting her forehead with the palm of your hand.
Then they both started talking about me like I wasn’t there, stuff that was not meant to be said about someone while they are standing right in front of you.
This made me angry, I started to shake, and the lights above my head started to flicker and they still hadn’t noticed me, then the windows shattered and the glass landed everywhere. Well that got here attention.
“What are you?” said Grayson
I just shrugged sheepishly still confused, it was all very overwhelming
“Come with me,” he said again harshly garbing my arm. Fear caused through my body and I prepared myself for the beating, but it never came. Grayson dragged me into what looked like an office and pushed me into a desk chair.
“Who scent you!” he demanded
I stayed quite, having no idea on what’s going on.
“TELL ME!” he roared and something inside me was telling me to obey him, maybe it was instinct but it felt stronger. So for the first time in 3 years I spoke.
“My mother’s an alcoholic and my father left when I was 5. I am regularly bashed and my mother is missing presumed dead. I am all alone; I just wanted a normal life to get away from all that. So in conclusion of what you’re saying, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE GOING ON ABOUT!” I finished
Kallie came over to me and pulled me into a hug “Don’t worry you’re not alone, not anymore.”
Grayson sat there stunned at my little outburst. After a few minutes the uncomfortable silenced was interrupted with a knock at the front door.
Grayson slowly made his way out of the office and to the front door.
“Hello Alpha Grayson,” said a mysterious voice from the other side of the threshold.
“Alpha Mason,” Replied Grayson, “Please come in,”
Little did Grayson no; in letting mason through that door was the worst mistake of his life. It sparked the largest war between the 2 largest packs in North America in 2centuries.
Mason claimed that I was a descendent of an ancient pack, the only pack In their history to have had powers, all the alphas at the time were scared, scared of losing their positions and their packs to the charm of the magics, as they called them. So they attempted to wipe them out. In the end all the magics were killed but at a great expense to the pack, just under a quarter returned home.
So he thought he had to eliminate me.
