Peyton's POV
{Flashback}
I rushed out of the locker room after the bell rang, which indicated that school was officially over for that day. I went straight to my homeroom class and to my locker where I dumped my binder in my locker and grabbed my gym bag. I rushed to the first day of basketball tryouts in the gym.
I went back into the locker room where I changed into my black basketball shorts, a shirt from a basketball camp I went to, and my brand new high-tops.
I took a deep breath and went out to the gym. I walker to a basketball rack and took a decently aired up basketball. I then went to a basket and started shooting free throws.
I didn't make all of them. I was distracted. I couldn't fully focus. Maybe it was just the nervousness that comes with trying out for a team.
A short girl with short shorts and a PE shirt whom I recognized as Adelade pointed at me and screamed, "I'm her favorite!" I looked at her with confusion.
"No, you're-"

I'm shaken out of my daze.*~*~* Switch P.O.Vs *~*~*
<<|>> Flash Back <<|>> Today was basketball tryouts. "Crap." I muttered as gym class was finishing, good thing I had gym today. I left on my clothes and with my spare time texted my friend Clairy about how nervous I was. Tryouts began and I took a break to text her. One tall girl with blonde hair and blue eyes stood out to me. Clairy dared me to fun up to her her and declare I'm her favorite. I went out there a and the tall girl looked down at me with confusion. I pointed at her with a short arm and yelled "I'M HER FAVORITE" <<|>> End Of Flashback <<|>> I looked at Peyton, the blonde girl from 6th grade tryouts who now no was my best friend, and she seemed dazed, almost like she had before tryouts. "Hey, nerd. Snap out of it." I said as I punched her arm jokingly. "I'm good now." She said, snapping awake quickly as if she had never gazed off in the first place.
